WE are taking a big chance on our midfield, with so many variables in regards to injuries and availability during AFCON

I dont get all the pessimism regarding our midfield. I know everyone is concerned with injuries, but last year was the same and we managed just fine. We lost Pogba and bought Pjanic and maybe another one, plus hopefully Asamoah remains healthy. We arent taking a bigger chance than last year IMO. The starting midfield should be Marchisio, Khedira and Pjanic, and you will get no one better than that in the mercato. Someone like Witsel, along with Lemina, Sturaro and Asamoah are good as bench options or to start some games in case of injury.

The team is really really good, way better than last year IMO. Probably the best defense in the world, a very very good MF with Marchisio, Khedira, Pjanic, Sandro and Alves, and world class strikers in Dybala and Higuain.

James Dybala Higuain would have been amazing especially as Dybala is a forward that drop back so much he sometimes seem like an attacking midfielder while James attacking ability can make up for Dybala`s "absence" from his forward position which would make us way more dangerous on so many levels!

Anyway not going to happen so maybe Kovacic who might be an interesting in the middle
Witsel - never been impressed by him but I guess he is better than Lemina and would be ok until Marchisio is back..
