Nothing wrong with saying they are good players and it has nothing to do with the point im trying to make.

The fact of the matter is we need to add quality every year not just replace quality or we will stay at a similar level. If we added to what we already had instead of weakening one part of our team to make the rest stronger we would if been in a much better position.

I know its not easy to hold on to WC players for their entire careers but we should of demanded more money for them and brought in better replacements.

You're going way overboard. And the players we brought in are "great" players. Calling them "good" is massively underrating them. Higuain just broke the all-time goal record in Serie A. Dybala is worth 100M right now and had 30 goals+assists in his first season here. Benatia was the best defender in Serie A in 2013-14. Khedira has a better goalscoring rate at Juventus than either Vidal or Pogba. Pjanic had 12 goals-13 assists last season.

Better replacements.



Khedira and Pjanic are fantastic replacements. 2 world class players. Khedira has injury struggles, but he's healthy now, and we actually haven't lost a single game he has started. Pjanic has never been injury prone. Asamoah is also an excellent CM if he stays healthy. It's also not like Asa has spent his entire career injury-prone. He had a rough 15 months of recurring injuries. Before that he played huge minutes for several straight seasons. Same deal with Marchisio.

We are 1 single good CM away from having had an absolutely fantastic 2 mercatos transitioning this team. And even without, we have a brilliant team, with fantastic players all over the pitch, including midfield.

Well, Monaco and performance have nothing in common so there could be a chance. They're in CL so most of the season's objective is done.

That's why I said that I hope Pjanic and Higuain integrate quickly. A midfield of Lemina and Asamoah is not exciting.

I agree with this. But you must confess that you were engaging in rather dramatic hyperbole when calling our team "very pedestrian"

I'm not too excited about going through an entire season with both Asamoah and Lemina as starters. But a Khedira-Pjanic-Asamoah/Lemina looks quite good until Marchisio returns.

Same deal with Higuain replacing Mandzu over the next several weeks. I have little doubt that these things will happen.

Just be happy we are getting results in the first few games when Higuain.Pjanic,Marchisio and Bonucci have been missing. Max doesnt want to many changes and wants the team to be comfortable then we will start to grow from there.

Asamoah or Lemina in midfield until Marchisio returns does not look "quite good." It looks quite average.

Witsel until his return is much better.

Why is he a leech just because you don't want him? It's Marotta who made the mistake not the player. When a player fans /club want to keep, you call them nasty names amounting to soulless mercenary, but those who want to stay and respect their contracts are leeches?
