Would rather take Toure over Sweinsteiger if we want to get that kind of aged and experienced profile.
not a vice marchisio in anyway. Thats what we need the most. An upgrade on Hernanes so we can keep pjanic in his best creative role even when marchisio is out.

Just imagine Alves, Pjanic and Dybala on that right side of the pitch.

I remember Schweinsteiger being a beast as was Toure. Something has happened to both of them and they are 32 and 33 respectively - in theory they could play at a decent level for a few more years. I would only be OK with it ONLY if the following happens:

1) We cannot find a suitable younger long term player; and
2) Both come as free transfers with relatively low wages - i.e the player willing to sacrifice money in order to re-ignite their careers with us.

If it happens, I want it to be a low risk option where we can get upside from transforming a so called "washed up" player like we did with Evra, Pirlo and Khedira.

Perhaps it could be a case of: IN: Diawara and one of the above, Cuadrado; OUT: Pereyra (done), Hernanes and Zaza

Barzagli, not good enough for Wolfsburg. Good enough for Juve.

Apparently that was an embarrassing transfer too.
Barzagli was 2 years younger and had nowhere near the medical record of Schweinsteiger.

Will your downfall ever swing back or will you forever stay the retard you've been throughout the last couple of months?
Spalletti says they don't need to replace him, because they already have Strootman and Paredes who are both better than Pjanic.
We don't need to sign anyone. Asamoah and Lemina are both better than Pogba.

You could say the same about Pogba for utd, Pirlo for Milan, Tevez for city, morata for madrid, Cuadrado for Chelsea, Khedira for Madrid, Cannavaro for Inter .
I could say that, but I wouldn't.... because those players clearly were not washed up. The ony one anyone thought that about was Pirlo. Most people were wrong about Pirlo.

But what's your point? This has nothing to do with Schweinsteiger.

For sure, Yaya is still deadly impact player when given freedom, he is just lazy, not physically spent for several years like Schweinsteiger.

Marchisio will be back soon. Pjanic would fill in that role when Marchisio is absent. Khedira owns that spot on the right side. Not saying Toure is the answer, but I feel if anything we need a player with a Vidal type profile - strong, stamina and physically imposing. Actually would like a good tackler and ball winner.

Nope he hasn't at all, he is completely right about you.

You and him are two peas in a pod Osman. Don't worry, I'll be mentioning you lots come the end of this season, when once again our management proves what utter imbeciles you, Igor, and the other Mercato crybabies are.

But seriously, cry a little more that you can't jerk off over Pogba anymore. Cry about our destroyed midfield. Our selling club status. Doom and gloom for the future of Juventus. We'll be selling Dybala and all our other young stars next summer too, because twats like you and Igor and Matt say so. We are dooooommmedddd!

Fucking pussies.

If signing Schweinsteiger was in addition to a trequartista, I would be ok with it. I think Schweinsteiger in Serie A would be a different player than Schweinsteiger in the EPL. He could be a good short term solution to play as a water carrier until Marchisio is back. If he is terrible, throw him in Cup matches.

If Schwein is our only purchase, I'll be pissed.

If it's Schwein & James, I'll be very happy.

James is totally unrealistic. The probability of him coming is less than 1% in my view. He might go to Chelsea but he aint coming here. He is worth at least 60m and no way I see us spending that - particularly on a player who would require us to change the way we play.

We will get Cuadrado and a DM. Who that DM is is anyone's guess. Matuidi is looking unlikely and the links to other players looks purely speculative at this stage with no real contacts. It is looking increasingly likely that this DM will be acquired on deadline day. It could be Witsel in the end as we have an agreement with the player but the valuation is 5m off.......I can see him potentially being the panick buy - Matuidi's valuation is more like 10-15m off.

I wouldn't mind Bastian for depth if he hasn't regressed too much, hope he can still keep it simple. He's younger then Evra, but Tonton Pat is an amazing physical specimen, SBA @Carlos Primera hope Bastian can hold steady for a season or two.
Bastian would not even be an upgrade over Hernanes. That's how bad he has been for a good while now. I don't know if someone can bounce back from that kind of deterioration. The only acceptable scenario is if he's picked up on a loan.

The problem with Hernanes is, his characteristics suit the registra role. He can be good in that role but the problem is he makes too many unforced errors that can cost us. He doesn't have the physicality or nous to play as a box to box. He has a good shot and some natural ability but I just think he should go somewhere else. He might be the type of player that would do well for a mid table team in Spain playing in the middle of a 3 in a 4231.

Personally, I don't see why we don't give Marrone a shot at regista as 3rd choice. I think he is more solid and less prone to making mistakes. Then again, Lemina did pretty well for us over the weekend.

Please not Schweinsteiger, his wages are inflated, and he is injury prone. If the idea was have him till Marchi is back, i wont be surprised he gets injured as well till Marchi comes back. Plus if this was the deal, i am sure we would wrap this up during the Pogba transfer, so i am hearing this as a lot of bull.
