Chelsea would need to bid money which is way over his real valuation (Mandzukic) for us to sell. Allegri likes him a lot. I also think he is very much under-rated for what he does for the team - not just defensively but also in terms of his passes and flick ons. He is a big part of the reason why Dybala does so well.

That's close to 29m for Mandzukic and he is already 30 and will not be a crucial player for us the coming seasons. If I was Marotta I would seriously think about to sell him.
The problem is - Who would you get instead? Who is worth 30M and is good enough to be our 1st sub?! Barbosa?! He is way unproven - He isnt ready for it!
Promoting Zaza?! He isnt good enough...
The price for a 30M year old sub is good but the problem is not the sum but to get a replacement...

well they're not going to force him out is what I'm saying. if an offer comes and he accepts then he will leave, but as I said he will still be behind diego costa at chelsea and no CL as well. so I don't really see much appeal over Juve.

doubt it would be that much difference, even so they're not desperate for the money. he is important depth imo
Costa and Batshuayi as well. He actually has less competition here.

Rumours of Jorge Mendes offering us 19-year-old Ruben Neves of Porto. Portuguese Regista / b2b midfielder.
That kid looks really, really good. On Youtube, I mean, so I have no idea of his true ability. But he does look very impressive.

Reported release clause is 40 million euros.

Am I missing something? Did one of Chelsea's strikers get injured? Why the sudden interest for Mandzukic. If they are all healthy, he will be in a worse situation than he is now.

None of this makes any sense

A couple of Portuguese friends of mine that I spoke to this morning really think highly of this kid.

Ruben neves has around 40m release clause but I guess Porto might let him loose for 35m. Too expensive for someone so young but his been so good for Porto I think 25-30 max should do. We do take up a number of risks if we buy him, one of which I think will be he will take a while settling in, something clearly we can't afford.

His not a box to box but more like the one who plays well in DM role shields the ball, calm good technique and a nice range of passing. Still young, but very mature on the pitch... can't say much off it.
