Marota knows we don't need anyone else cuz we already opened J Medical which means no more injuries for anyone never ever ever ever ever again so our MF is complete

Face it guys, we're doomed.
Depends on our standards. Clearly we were always to win the meme league of Serie A but Llorente and Coman scoring plus Vidal tipping the scale against us in CL was as predictable as it was decisive. I firmly believe that with Vidal in our jersey instead of Bayern's we would have walked through Bayern and won the CL. Real wasn't strong

:agree:
If Vidal was with us we would have had it.

Target should be the CL, been long overdue.

Oh $#@!, you mean the James, Isco and Verratti door will close now? I am shocked. I can't believe this. We were on the verge of signing a worldclass CM :depressed
Yeh I feel you bro!! Now gimme a hug :dule:

Firmly believe we would have won CL with Vidal.

Our worst player in the CL final in 2015 would have been the difference.
Low blow! low blow!

Don't believe a word Marotta sais

He said he wouldn't pay the buy out clauses for both Pjanic and Higuain and said Pogba is staying remember.

If I was in his position I understand. It doesn't always pay to be truthful. Bluffing is part of the game

The Vidal of last year would have been far from our worst player, though.

Oh well. That's enough of dwelling in the past and wondering what could have been
Oh, of course. I have no problem saying I wish we still had Vidal. I wish we had him last year too.

But I have no idea, and no one does, whether Vidal would have been the difference in winning the CL last year. Acting like it would have been a certainty is rather amusing.

Beppe's latest interview makes me wonder (not really since I believe he is lying)

If we could afford buying Higuain and keep Pogba and only sold Pogba because he 'asked to leave', why couldn't we use the entirety of the Pogba money to buy a quality CM? Pjanic clearly has been an unresolved issue from last year and doesn't count. And if Pogba 'asked to leave' months ago, why do we stand here in the middle of August and have to resort to midtable players like Brozovic, Matuidi, Biglia. Not even a Herrera is on the table.
Who knows. My gut feeling is that Pogba was indecisive and the Higuain buy out expiry was approaching so we gave him an ultimatum and he refused to commit so Marotta will interpret that as his wanting to leave.

If a player does not represent a meaningful upgrade, why not stick with players you know and who are already accustomed with their teammates and environment. Change for change's sake is dangerous.

Also, quality CMs don't grow on trees. None of the available ones out there do not scream quality and the ones that may fit the profile either don't want to leave, or the clubs have whacked really high transfer fees on them that we deem as too expensive for their worth. Even people on this forum are not happy about names such as Brozovic, Witsel, Matuidi, Gustavo etc. Why should we overpay for average players? Even if I was in Marotta's shoes right now, I would struggle to see who I would actually go for at the moment.

I'm Beppe Marotta and this is Juventus Football Club. I work here with President Agnelli, and my good buddy Fabio Paratici. Every player here has a desire to leave, and a price. One thing I've learned after 5 seasons-you never know who is going to come through that door during the last days of the mercato.

Uh, because he shouldn't have left it until now! If we knew Pogba was leaving, we should have wrapped up that box to box energetic/dynamic midfield destroyer eons ago.

Because is how Marotta "does" his business. That's why. That's why we get Hernanes last year and that's why we will get our mid player 24 hours before the end of the window (if we get the player at all).
