We`ll sign a midfielder well we already knew that didnt we?!
Cuadrado will be great!
Brozovic has been ruled out which is good! I wouldnt like us to spend more than 15M on a player like him...
Im pretty sure this midfielder will be Matuidi even though I`m not exactly his biggest fan...

Juventus “would’ve signed Gonzalo Higuain even without selling Paul Pogba,” insists director general Beppe Marotta.

The two deals essentially cancelled each other out, as Higuain’s release clause was activated from Napoli for €90m while Manchester United broke the world transfer record by paying €105m plus €5m bonuses for Pogba.

“We respected what Paul wanted,” explained Marotta on Sky Sport Italia when asked why that move had gone through.

“However, I would’ve signed Gonzalo anyway even without selling Pogba.

“Higuain is the best buy of my career.”

Many would point to Pogba as the smartest deal, because he was signed as a free agent from Manchester United in 2012 and sold back to the same club for €105m four years later.

Sky saying Cuadrado's agent Alessandro Lucci will present our offer to Chelsea. We want to pay the loan with big money. Reports from yesterday indicate it's 4 million.

Im not feeling too optimistic about getting a top midfielder anymore and im afraid without one we are weaker than we were in the last 2 years. We have signed some great players at the expensive if losing one of the best midfields if not best in Europe.

Dominant midfields haven't won a Champion's League in years.

The last 4 CL winner, Bayern, Madrid, Barca, Madrid... have all won CL with dominant attacking play, and dominance out wide. Solid, but never dominant midfields.

And that's exactly what Beppe is setting up with attackers like Higuain, Dybala, Mandzu... and wingbacks+wide players like Evra, Sandro, Licht, Alves, Pjaca, Cuadrado. We are going to have a very solid, if not excellent midfield once Marchisio returns. Khedira-Marchisio-Pjanic is a world class trio, and we have excellent cover for them with Lemina and Asamoah. Not to mention getting another midfielder, +Sturaro who often plays well against top teams.

Our improvement in attack and on the flanks easily makes up for the decrease in quality in the midfield.

If Bayern, Barca and Madrid don't have a dominant midfield, I don't know who does.

We only got to the champions league final, when we had the best midfield.
We would be out many times before the final if it weren't for Carlitos and Alvaro's timely goals.
Also, we had awesome midfields in 2012-13 and 2013-14 too, but those seasons were failures, especially 2013-14, because our strikers were very poor in Europe that season. (Tevez had just one goal in 12 games.)
