He's 20 and at Atletico he has Gimenez and Godin clearly ahead of him plus even Savic is preferred over him. So 5th choice in a three man backline or 4th choice in a two man backline.

He can easily get ahead of Savić, and first CB sub is a pretty damn good position to be in as a 20 year old especially for a club known for good defenders as Atleti. Not to mention he came through their youth ranks.
