Benzema, Higuain, Zlatan, Suarez, Griezmann, Cavani, Lewandowski, Aguero all are better and more consistent than him.

Morata should be compared to young emerging strikers like Icardi, Kane, Lukaku etc and even they have a superior goal scoring record even though Morata is more complete compared to them.

We will look for a player that can play with Dybala or Mandzukic that's preferable young and can accept the bench.

Morata is a SS in a CF's body. That is what he is.

:agree:

I've been saying this for a long time. His double digit assist numbers verify it. He lacks the aggression and assertiveness in tight spaces to be an outright Prima Punta, especially in Serie A. He likes to operate in space, between the midfield and defense, allowing him to run at the defense.

This works for a No 9 in CL, because there aren't 9-10 men behind the ball defending, but in Serie A it just doesn't work. Hence the reason Morata looks so much better when playing off Zaza or Mandzu as the CF, than he does playing with Dybala, as the two of them operate best in the same spaces.

It's too bad we are losing him, but we'll be just fine.
