what people seem to forget here is how well Morata performed in the CL.
He seems to have a special feeling in these games, he nearly always played way above his standards taking us to the final last year and nearly leading us to a miracle vs Bayern.
Hard to put a price tag on that.
Having said that, I also believe he is worth around 45/50. 65 is ludicrous.
That might be too much under normal conditions but as the market dictates the prices and the market is fucked up these days, thats what you have to pay for quailty these days. We are lucky that its only 35M for us compared to other clubs so we should take this chance.

Agree about the CL

Apart from Dybala that's not good enough. You don't win CL without top class forwards, which none of them are. Maybe Berardi can become that, but I don't think we can play him and Dybala together in a 4-3-1-2 anyway
Mandzukic is good enough and I don't see us signing anyone who could displace him next season.

Id rather look to strengthen the midfield mostly. Its the heart of the team and we should rejuvenate the area what was our strongest area in the past yrs.
If he goes,we'll still have 4 strikers.Lets see how the mercato evolves.Hard to tell whats going on behind the scenes.
We can strengthen without weakening the attack. Pjanic and keeping Morata > Pjanic, Berardi and Kovacic

Mandzukic and Dybala would be our starting forwards anyway and we've seen at the beginning of last season how important midfielders were. We cannot fall back on Sturaro or Padoin. We need at least one top class CM and that would require 40-50m of investment. Doubt we can sign a top striker in addition to that. Maybe next summer. This is why I'd be in favor of Morata staying for at least one more season. This summer our midfield needs to be fixed.

I also think that our chances drop a lot with Mandzo and Zaza as our only CF choices. We still have a change but quite small compare to Mandzo and Morata dúo. It would depende too much on Dybala (at least Berardi turn out to be a counter attack machine in UCL like Morata)

I mean that pic of him winning the CL is old :D
Yes, in the game he was fit for he was probably our best player.

He was in the 1st game, 2nd game he was injured. Morata was much better though
I'm not saying he's crap, but he shouldn't be our main man. For the CL we need someone more like Morata who we can counter attack with

We can do that i dont necessarily think we will do that.

Midfield looks mediocre right now without Marchisio and a half-fit Khedira.
Yeah, so upgrade with Pjanic. But we can't neglect the attack, it's just as important

Mandzukic is WC at what he does. Perfect partner for Dybala. If you don't see it, your loss. Juve is missing a playmaking mid behind those two more. Alves is an upgrade over cuadrado offensively as well. He's a better playmaker. Cuadrado is a better dribbler but who cares.
