As far as the Morata affair goes, we offered 15, Real want 35. I honestly don't know how far we'd go to keep him, but cannot see us offering more than 20.
What might change things in our favour would be an option to buy Pogba in one or two years .... and take Kovacic who has become a burden for them.

Lukaku is a brilliant striker, and will score goals, that's why all the big clubs want him.

Morata is also brilliant, but clearly scored less.

It's not 30-35. It's 30mln + 30-35mln which makes no sense.

But you said its not worth giving anything over 30M, Real asks for 35M apparently, so the difference isnt far off. And yes it is 65M which could be used on someone else but small clubs like Everton rate their strikers at 65M pounds nowadays. Even Brazilian clubs wont bend over for their talented strikers anymore. So lets say we get the 30M from Real and take the 35M which people dont want to spend on Morata - what now? Whoever we get is a downgrade to Alvaro so its not worth losing him over a 35M asking price. He would definitely pay himself off within 2 seasons in the CL

Yes for Kovacic, "help" them get rid of him and they give us Alvaro for 25-30M. No to Pogba

I too would be concerned about paying such huge fees for players, but with valuations now it's like putting a value on a stone.

Morata is brilliant, but goals scored is not great, even with that amazing Juventus team around him!

We will not yet know if Lukaku will be as good as his now for a big club, so you are correct. But you can not argue with his goal return, and as I say. Lets see in the Euro's.

Morata got 12 goals last season btw, as you are talking goals....

After sassuolo came another 11 Serie a matches and I think 4 CL matches where he didn't score.. He didn't feature the full 90 blabla..

Imagine him at Madrid.. 15 matches (not the full 90 but only gaynaldo gets the full 90) where he doesn't score a single goal.. He'll be playing at Castilla In no time..

Let's be clear. I love Morata and I want him here.. But real are fucking us with this
