With Pjanic there's one more thing that nobody brought up so far. Maybe @Nostradamus could help as Bayern already paid a release clause in recent years.

Is it true that you have to pay the whole sum in one instalment if you activate a release clause? I heard that before and it seems reasonable because there are no negotiations with a selling club, so there's no way to agree on instalments.

Anyone able to clarify it?

Yeah that goes without saying, you have to give the whole sum, no installments. And in spanish release sums, its the players who have to vouch/stand for that figure, in essence buyers pay the player who then pay the sellers, in weird financial technicality.

Not that we will sign him, and not least because of the need to pay the full sum, but is it 100% confirmed he has a release clause?

yes it's 100% true. All left is to see what the player will choose.

I didn't know Götze was still in the cards
It was never more possible than this summer. I wouldnt bet 10€ Götze not willing to join Juve and a contract extension doesnt look that likely. If he extends, then I ll welcome it and hoping Ancelotti can make him shine again..if not, then its understandable..nobody knows if Bayern want extend or not or if Götze just isnt interested.

38m is not much at all even if I have my reservations about him. Thats one lucky top club who will get him then. Because there is no way I see us getting him.

I wish we did tho, not only because he is real quality even if not my top choice, but mainly to set the predecent. Big sign to the rest of the "bigger" clubs in the league we can get your players, and make it more of an acceptable occurance. Pjanic, Bernadeschi, Donnarumma, Insigne/Allan etc (because no one in Inter interests me...), make the idea of them coming here to win plausible scenario.

Just telling what's his net income is bring down the chances to 0 or almost.

8m/year net income. It's BPL written all over where they can pay so high wages.

What are his current wages?

I would imagine that Götze commands quite a paycheck
8m net income per year

sometime ago i thought he was on a much lower wage.....

Yes Bayern like to do it that way. Get a deal with the player, serving the clause completely and not dealing with the other club at all. If the connections between the clubs r good and Roma not angry and being understanding, then they r free to agree seperate payments, but that wouldnt be necessary with Bayern..they r happy to pay in once. 38m is fair price.

First time, i read about it in dimarzio's site when milan wanted to buy jackson martinez.
According fifa rule, if club want to buy player with release clause, the club have to pay in one installment.

Watching again today it's absolutely clear we need a guy that can give our strikers that final deadly pass.

We can't cross for shit I don't know why we even try it anymore.

Isco is obviously better than Pjanic or Ozil. He'd be an absolute dream signing. But Real was always more likely to sell James instead who's overrated and out of our price range anyway.

Isco, Pjanic, Matic, De Sciglio, Montolivo rumors made absolutely no sense and were/are clearly BS.

A week ago I was convinced Bayern fixed the deal. Hope nothing has changed I really want him. Hummels, Pjanic and Mr. X (OA/winger) and I m happy. Maybe a talented RB ll be added like Klostermann or my personal favourite Peres.
You need a Xabi Alonso upgrade a lot more than you need Pjanic.

When Götze came, Ribery was still top earner with 12-13m gross, so he has earnt definitely less than 6m net. He was very coveted that time, but IMO the max they offered him was in the Schweinsteiger and Lahm bracket so around 5m net. The wage structure of Bayern is very sensitive e.g. Kroos was offered between 3-4m net a year later to put it into perspective so most reports of his income r completely nonsense and fabricated.

Lol what? I can understand why someone thinks hes better than Pjanic even if I disagree but better than Ozil? Not in a million years

Like I said before, pretty sure we'll sign a good versatile mid and an U21 AM/LW with potential.

I don't see any AM that's available who's really great and is a good bang for the buck. Mkhitaryan might be the only exception.

It's almost certain that Pastore, Gotze, and Oscar will leave, but they're overrated, will never be WC, and aren't worth the price.
