If I was him I'd do everything to stay.

Licht would be just fine for both formations. it's not like he never played RWB.

Yeah, I don't think it will fly if Madrid tries to do that. If they buy him and sign him to a contract, he can refuse a move to an EPL team, which will hurt his stock. Madrid has choice in the matter, but Morata also isn't completely their b****. If they try funny stuff, he can refuse to be transfered.

Pjanic is unlikely - I don't see Roma selling him to their closest rival! Having said that, Pjanic is just the type of midfielder we need as he is fairly versatile and highly skilled.

Perhaps a really good mercato would involve minimal changes. Say 3 in and 3 out:

IN: Benatia (loan), Vrsaljko or other RB (10-15m), Pjanic (38m). PLUS Morata buy out 25m, and Lemina 9.5m = -82-87m
OUT: Caceres (0m), Cuadrado (end of loan), Pereyra (10-15m). PLUS Isla out for ~5m = +15-20m

NET = -67-72m. Forwards exactly the same.

I suspect should Morata leave, we would try for Cavani but in the end we will get outbid, then look at Lukaku - get outbid and settle for Berardi. Marotta will like him cause he is Italian. For the same rational expect De Sciglio over Danilo or Vrsaljko as he is Italian as well.
