Cavani falls into the Marotta 'opportunity' category - only if the price is right. If PSG want a full transfer fee and Cavani wants his mega salary then it's not an opportunity and is just unrealistic, barring us selling Pogba/Morata.

Much better to spend on Morata than Cavani. Maybe there is a chance Morata would never hit Cavani heights, but I'd rather take the chance and find out.

Based on some credible rumors, and some common sense and reasoning, our mercato may look like this:
    IN:
-Berardi and the biggest challenge will be for Allegri to find a way to play both him and dybala in the same line up, this will solve our creativity problems.
-Keeping Cuadrado is 50/50 at this point since we don't have an agreement with Chelsea yet and Conte may ask for him, in that case if he doesn't push for a permanent move with us, or if Conte manages to convince him to stay he's as good as gone unfortunately.
-A move for a young RB who will help Licht have some rest without stealing his starting spot right away is imminent, and I believe De Sciglio may be the name if Virsalijko's price is indeed 10-15m.
-Saponara is coming imo for a price less than 20m and the deal may involve players like Buchel/Marrone/LaPadulla should we sign the latter in June.
-A CB to replace Caceres who is Napoli bound, I think our first choice would be Benatia for a loan with option to buy, but if the deal collapses for a reason or another we may be looking at Empoli's Tonelli who will cost us 10m +/- and won't command a hefty salary.
-We will try to extend Lemina's loan for another season and that will end the pursuit for another midfielder.
-If evra rejects a sub role next season his replacement will be Bologna's Adam Masina.
    OUT:
-Caceres: Out of contract. I hope he doesn't go to another Italian team.
-Morata: If by any means we manage to keep him -very improbable- we will only get one of Berardi and Saponara.
    -Evra.
-Loan out Mandragora if he doesn't turn out to be a very pleasant surprise in preseason.
The above list is admittedly pessimistic, and while names like Isco and Cavani are unrealistic, players like Batshuyai, Mikhtiryan, and Diawara are not far fetched dreams and could join us :xfinger:
I wishfully think that no club will consider Pogba vital enough for the financial sacrifice his transfer will ensue, but if he has a great euro, and the right offer comes he may leave and in that case all our transfer strategies will be different.
I will be very content with that mercato as I rate berardi and Saponara so much, and as I believe our squad is gelling and getting better by time, and we can extend our domestic dominance next season, and reach the semis in Europe with that squad if we are luckier with injuries this time.

Just wondering - Would you be happy with this transfer market:
    1. Morata out Dembele in
    2. Caceres out Veraljko in
    3. Berardi in
    4. Benatia in Coman out straight swap
    5. Metheus Pereyra for the future (if anyone know this guy...)

It looks nice since our depth would improve by some fair bit (I would only add a creative CM to that mix to make it complete) even if I would hate to lose Morata. Dembele and Berardi would be brilliantly flexible options for attack, since both of them are actually wingers but can play as forwards too. Question is tho if we would need to play 4-3-3 more if it happend.

Not that it will, Dembele at this point will cost 30m+, and us signing Berardi will be pricey enough as is.

If Cuadrado leaves we need three creatives players, one for the left and right sides, and a playmaker. That's the very least we have to do this summer, if nobody else is leaving. And i rather keep Morata than taking an old Cavani.

    Roflmao. $#@!ing roflmao son.

Edison "i dont know how to forward" Cavani : last two seasons : 67 games played (6040minutes played in total devided by 90 minutes) : 40 goals scored. Thats 0.59 goal/game

Carlos Tevez : during his two seasons at juventus : 93 games played (8365 minutes played in total devided by 90 minutes per game) : 48 goals scored. Thats 0.51 goals/game

Tevez was the main striker. Cavani was "a winger".

    Sit the $#@! down son
You don't know much about football then, Cavani is playing in a weak league in the top squad. Not a realistic comparison. Son.

Honestly? nope. Cause it would be a mercato filled with uncertainty. Not a single proven player and while we can argue on Benatia.... Bayern want to get rid of him cause in three years are more the games he missed then the ones he played.
Just this season he played 851mins less than 10games! and we'd pay over 20m for this guy? srsly what the hell? I'd rather go for the cheap Tonelli which is solid 3 years younger and specially with a much lower wage.

Dembele will probably be bought by some english club (nominally Chelsea as they buy every youth and loan them) and we dunno how much it would cost with the hype and so on. I woudn't spend big money on a 18years old boy with a first season wonder in Ligue 1. Plus Winger. We ain't playing 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. Pass. Neither the cam we need nor the striker we'll miss with Morata going away.

Vrsjalko decent player and league proven but honestly he looks average in a lesser league. Totally lack the flair and offensive style we need.

Berardi good player but got really lot of doubts about him. Plus the price tag looks too high for me.

Benatia 29years old broken since 3 season on a straight swap for the 19yrs old Coman where Bayern still own us 21m (taking the 7m we already received). Just NO. I'd rather save the money to buy Berardi and add them to Coman value to get Goetze (21+25 i guess Bayern would accept a 46m bid).

Mattheus dunno who it is and how he'd help us.

Depending if Morata really goes... this summer we'll need: 1 striker , 1 CAM , 1 RB and 1 CM.

Lemina unlike many says is not the answer we need a proven midfielder giving us quality.

So do you guys think Marchisio will give Oscar #8?
No way but #11 will be free... hopefully.

Seriously it doesn't matter what number you use.

These are the kind of posts that don't belong on this forum. Better fit would be goal.com comment section.

If anything, we need a battering ram like Cavani. Selling Mandzukic and if necessary Zaza too in order to bring both Cavani and Berardi. The two of them is obviously an upgrade to the latter two. I love Zaza but keeping a young Morata is great for the long run but having Cavani increases our odds drastically in Europe. If the CL is our goal we need to go big or go home and getting Cavani is going big.

Why do people find Cavani's transfer impossible? 10m net? LMFAO. He isn't earning this much. According to le Parisien he's on 9.6m gross.

Salaires brutes mensuels et annuels des joueurs du PSG pour la saison 2015-16

    Edinson Cavani 0.8 M€/mois 9.6 M€ Annuel

If Morata leaves I think Cavani is an obvious signing for us.

I get my daily dose of laughter reading this thread.

I can see some bitter people around here come summer when their Cavani and Isco fantasies dont come to fruition.

Especially Cavani,damn.29 yr old, with a 10m net wage and a market value of 50m atleast.Nah,lets read Tuttosport and comfort ourselves.
Cavani on loan + obligation sogno possibile !!
