I feel that we can up our level by more than one player.

If we can get a striker like Lewandowski, Neymar or Messi we'll up our team. +1 level
If we can get a midfielder like Koke, Di Maria or Modric. + 1 level
If we get a classy attacking RB - +1 level

We have plenty of room to improve upfront. The biggest issue right now is that our attack is almost completely new this season. Only Morata has been here for more than one season. Despite that we are performing rather well for now and this is kind of amazing.

Khedira and Hernanes are valuable players but can easily be replaced with Di Maria and Modric and I feel that we'll do a bit better with those type of players.

As you said our defense is brilliant so far but I wouldn't mind getting a WC prospect RB.

But if I have to choose just one player - Di Maria.
No dude our biggest problem (as there is room for improvement) is that we can't pay a salary big enough to attract those kind of players.
And that we will never spend 50-60-80-100m for a player.
Even tough Agnelli are rich they won't burn money with football. We'd need an arab oil prince to get these kinds of players

So we will always be a second rated team.
Back in the past we were first rated as there weren't oil arabs and you needed much less money to get the best of the best.

AM because if we got the best AM in the world it would be the biggest upgrade we could make.

Talking about real players I think Verratti would make a huge impact on our team sadly that ship has sailed maybe in 5-10 years time it will be possible again.

We need an alternative to Lichtsteiner this summer. ASAP. Cuadrado is good for 3-5-2 but not for anything that requires a full-back that can actually defend. We're set on the left and in the middle of defence.

Also, I want Allegri to decide if he still wants to go for a formation with an AM. If not then we should finally sort our midfield. We have Marchisio, Pogba, Khedira, Asamoah, Hernanes, Sturaro, Pereyra, Lemina and Padoin all fighting for 3 spots. Someone has to be sold before we think of new signings. We'll be getting Marrone back in the summer too, right?

Up front, I'd like Berardi but I'm not sure where he would play if we don't go for 4-3-3. Also, Morata and Zaza are both subs to Mandzukic. Having both fight for a 15-min appearance once a week won't aid their development. Judging Morata's form this season I don't think Madrid will come calling in the summer for their buy-back clause so I guess we should loan/sell Zaza, as much as I like his grinta. Also we don't really have a Dybala substitute, we're dead up front when he isn't starting.

I'd say there are 3 positions we will focus on this summer.

Rb/RWB
Trequartista
CM

We really need a licht replacement, and the way this team is playing, i think we will continue to see the 3-5-2 as our main formation with a 4-3-3,4-3-1-2, and 4-4-2 as the alternatives.

I have a question that may bring another perspective on things. Feel free to call on it as constructive or idiotic. It's more about putting a finger on things and trying to nail down what is missing. Our team is really strong now so what is needed to take the next step?

So let's assume you are the best player in the world in your position and role. Your agent calls you and let's you know, it's done - you just need to sign the contract and you will join the Juventus squad this summer.
My question is what position and role would it be that you are the best in the world in and how would that improve and fit into Juve?
I urge you not to think what position and role you would prefer to be in but what role and position you think this Juventus needs. Hence I urge you to take a broader perspective - consider what resources we have at our disposal - what players we have and what role they can play in. You can be the new Messi but do we need a new Messi? Why? Why not? Do we need a new Nedved? Why, why not? A new Pirlo, Davids, Trezeguet, ADP or Deschamps? And so on. I'm not sure to what extent age should be considered, otherwise of course Buffon will not last forever so I would be a goalkeeper (not because I want to but because that's what my team needs).
To provide an example; If we do not consider age I think I would join the team as a trequartista - A Zidane, Platini or whatever you would want to refer to. Because I think Buffon is world class and so is our defense. I think our midfield is very strong and our attackers are good with potential to improve further. What I miss is someone who can help Dybala in the creative department and more frequently create critical chances. We have dribblers, hard workers, finishers, and so on, but can can improve the link between midfield and finishing of attacks. It would also allow more options in our tactical shape and approach - sort of as I believe Cuadrado has offered thus far. So, whatcha think?

By far my most wanted player, I would even take him over a possible Messi opportunity in any given second, thats how much I want this kid in our shirt.

A midfield of him and Pogba, having the ball with insane controll and super saiyan skill, would make the opponents go all:

On defense, Licht replacement is a must. The guy is giving his all but he is not getting any younger and we are running a risk with him. If he starts declining...we will be heavily burdened in that position. Cuadrado is not him.

On midfield, we wil need to sort things out. Khedira, Lemina and Hernanes could leave. I dont think they do the impact it was expected from them. Lemina could the benefit of doubt, but Khedira is too injury prone and on high wages, and Hernanes will most likely be disposed of. Padoin was renewed but we dont know if it was just to gain more form his sale.

Attack, i dont know. We are full of newcomers and we will need to see how the morata and madzukic situations evolve to act.

If you ask me, i think we need first and utmost, a player that lets allegri play a new formation, like a 4312. Obvs this player needs to be a ball player AM, an assist man able to create and score. We need this to link our game for once and for all because our current dudes are not cutting it in in the 3/4 of the field, Pogba included.

If some of Lemina, Nanes, Khedira, Pado, or Asa leave, we could try the cheap option of mandragora...since he seems to be a worker ball passing defensive midfielder who can also play as regista when Marchisio is not around. He is ours already. Tielemans would also a good option for the future but he will be expensive. But another ball passer to help marchisio and Pogba would do wonders to us.

In summary, we need to splash the big bucks for a top tier AM. No buts of ifs.
We need another defensive midfielder who can bass the ball excellently, to replace any of hernanes, Padoin, Khedira, Asa.
and maybe another Central Defender to cover for Chiellini.
Forward line will depend on our departures.
Last but not least, a top quality Licht replacement

He would have been perfect indeed. Its sad he doesnt want to come back to italy yet, and also he would cost us gazillions.

In hindsight, we should have paid those 15 mils back then

Lewa +1 yes but Neymar and Messi its more like +2
Koke is good but I wouldnt call this a level up he will just be a great fit...
Di Maria would be amazing while Modric is the best central midfield playmaker in the world (Pogba to me is still the best overall player in midfield (CM))
RB - Can you name 3 RB who are better than Licht?

I think Verratti is out of our reach for now. That's why we got Mandragora. I expect him to be in the team next year.

We are aware he is good. That doesnt mean we should not find a replacement in anticipation.
My point is that a good RB will not get our level but maintain it while players like the ones mentioned will clearly up our level as they dont replace someone in the same level
Lets just say that even our mighty Dybala is far from Neymar`s level

If we can get someone at Alex Sandro level as RB we would up our level IMO. The problem is that I don't know any... :nervous:

Actually there is someone even better than A.Sandro for A.Sandro`s role but wouldnt be able to do Licht role...
His name is Bale.. he is not affordable and actually I wouldnt want him anyway and I also doubt Bale would want to go back to LWB position
