What would be the point of signing Ronaldo other than shirt sales? He's on an obvious decline, definitely would not fit into Allegris tactics, and would probably ruin the family atmosphere at Juve. I'd much rather take one of Kross, James, or Modric.
I think it's enough internet for today.

I marked the page in the post you previously quoted :p

Yes, it is official.

Certain people still go full retard with the idea that PL teams and other big teams can spend 2-3x times what we can on salaries for top players and it simply isn't true. If this were the case we'd never be able to keep anyone in our squad, or sign any top players. The squad we have assembled makes it quite obvious that we offer very competitive wages with other top clubs.

Mandzukic linked to Bayern and Tottenham.

I can't wait to see rakib-like-experds drawing our transfers: "Morata, Mandzukic out, Cavani in" :D
Actually it could be Mandz out Cavani in...
We all know Marotta`s admiration and it always feel like it is bound to happen sooner or later...
Anyway if we sell him for 25M I`ll be extremely happy with this as he isnt young and there are better players out there (although he isnt a bad one himself)

Probably the most interesting player in terms of how he is going to develop...

So we basically not allowed to sell him until after 2017 to other clubs. It's fine we wouldn't. But their banned from buying this summer so we should be fine for another year.

Tak!

I have a question that may bring another perspective on things. Feel free to call on it as constructive or idiotic. It's more about putting a finger on things and trying to nail down what is missing. Our team is really strong now so what is needed to take the next step?

So let's assume you are the best player in the world in your position and role. Your agent calls you and let's you know, it's done - you just need to sign the contract and you will join the Juventus squad this summer.
My question is what position and role would it be that you are the best in the world in and how would that improve and fit into Juve?
I urge you not to think what position and role you would prefer to be in but what role and position you think this Juventus needs. Hence I urge you to take a broader perspective - consider what resources we have at our disposal - what players we have and what role they can play in. You can be the new Messi but do we need a new Messi? Why? Why not? Do we need a new Nedved? Why, why not? A new Pirlo, Davids, Trezeguet, ADP or Deschamps? And so on. I'm not sure to what extent age should be considered, otherwise of course Buffon will not last forever so I would be a goalkeeper (not because I want to but because that's what my team needs).
To provide an example; If we do not consider age I think I would join the team as a trequartista - A Zidane, Platini or whatever you would want to refer to. Because I think Buffon is world class and so is our defense. I think our midfield is very strong and our attackers are good with potential to improve further. What I miss is someone who can help Dybala in the creative department and more frequently create critical chances. We have dribblers, hard workers, finishers, and so on, but can can improve the link between midfield and finishing of attacks. It would also allow more options in our tactical shape and approach - sort of as I believe Cuadrado has offered thus far. So, whatcha think?

I feel that we can up our level by more than one player.

If we can get a striker like Lewandowski, Neymar or Messi we'll up our team. +1 level
If we can get a midfielder like Koke, Di Maria or Modric. + 1 level
If we get a classy attacking RB - +1 level

We have plenty of room to improve upfront. The biggest issue right now is that our attack is almost completely new this season. Only Morata has been here for more than one season. Despite that we are performing rather well for now and this is kind of amazing.

Khedira and Hernanes are valuable players but can easily be replaced with Di Maria and Modric and I feel that we'll do a bit better with those type of players.

As you said our defense is brilliant so far but I wouldn't mind getting a WC prospect RB.

But if I have to choose just one player - Di Maria.

I don't quite know if this fits your criteria but I would join as a box-to-box midfielder and I am saying this as the right player can massively improve our team. One thing we are missing from last seasons is the Vidal attitude. Khedira played well at times but he's far behind what Arturo brought to the team in his best days, not so much in his last season. We need a bulldog in midfield, a player who has so much determination and ambition that inspires teammates to perform above their normal level. A player like this, besides being better than the one he replaces in the first 11, will make his teammates play better, play with confidence. Khedira is injury prone and he is protecting himself in a way Vidal never did, Asamoah also, while Sturaro isn't that good of a player to be in the starting 11. We need a player that we are all sure he will give 101% every game he plays, someone with incredible workrate. We should consider very carefully Khedira's situation because I don;t want another Llorente case...

Sure, there are other obvious positions in which we need better players, but I wanted to expose a big picture perspective, because the mental condition, the attitude, is more important than a player being some upgrade on a player we already have.
