VfL Wolfsburg have issued a statement on the interview with Julian Draxler from August 3rd, 2016.

The Supervisory Committee and the Board of Directors at VfL Wolfsburg Fußball-GmbH feel the need to comment on the interview with Julian Draxler which was published in the 'BILD' newspaper, in order to clarify the current situation and dispel any possible resulting rumours.

VfL Wolfsburg wish to make it absolutely clear that at no time did those responsible at the club make either written nor oral commitments on the transfer of Julian Draxler within the current transfer period, which is due to end on August 31st, 2016. This is reiterated by a contractual release clause agreed upon with Julian Draxler and his management, which does not come into effect until summer 2017.
VfL Wolfsburg will not be selling Julian Draxler during the course of the current transfer period.

In joint discussions with Julian Draxler, VfL Wolfsburg again made it clear that they would not be granting the player’s wish to make a move. We now consider any possible uncertainties to have been eradicated and that all parties can revert back to a professional and responsible collaboration for the good of VfL Wolfsburg and, in particular, for our fans.
Draxler is in trouble

You are the clueless here, Martinez is a natural DM, and was used as CB in his last season because Athletic were already stacked in midfield, and needed defenders, same reason Carlos Gurpegui is being used CB these last seasons before his retirement in May
Alright, so the giant super club Bilbao was stacked in midfield, so it made total sense for them to play the ultimate midfielder there and he had a fantastic season, but when the Bavarian minnows from Munich with Schweinsteiger, Kroos, Thiago and then Vidal at their helm for only two available midfield positions most of the times r doing it, then they r complete idiots?

Ancelotti is going to be the next complete fool then, as he has already stated that Martinez ll be a CB for him too, but what do Bielsa, Guardiola and Ancelotti know, they should take advice and listen to some deluded internet trolls trying to be Bayern experts.

Dont know, maybe a teen has hacked ur account..cannot see another reason for such poor arguments from u..disappointing.

We will give a player that we loan a 4 year contract. I wonder if that is really how it works or the journalist are making things up.

It includes an option to buy not a dry loan so obviously you would give the player a longer contract.

Benatia has signed a 4 yr contract with us too.

He has?

No matter what we should stop giving these 29/30 year olds long contracts. We cant get ride of them if we want to.
