Yes he is a decent goal scorer that's why I said second tier striker or, if you want, one level under World Class.

He is fifth in the all time Argentina goal scorers. Only once have earned top scorer (last season), 8 goals in 48 champions league appearances. 3 goals in 2 world cups. 5 goals in 3 Copa Americas.

So where exactly is this world class striker? I know that statistics is not everything but you keep looking and you see the two misses in the finals, his meltdown in Serie A last season, left Madrid through the back door to play for Napoli.
