I watched Fiorentina quite a lot in the last few years and Fiorentina didn't play to Gomez's strengths. Yes, he was often injured and was in poor form but they were barely crossing the ball and creating chances for him. Gomez is the kind of player that needs support.

We also didn't provide great service to Mandzukic but now with Alves, Pjanic, Sandro starting more often, our crossing should improve significantly. Gomez could be worth a try.
Thx for info havent watched him often since he left Bayern. I totally agree he could be useful for many teams and Juve could be a great opportunity with a functioning team and good service from that midfield.

The problem IMO is, that Gomez doesnt want to be a role player. He seems to be kind of sensitive too and wants to feel important and appreciated. He would prefer being a big fish in a small pond instead of shark tanks. He wanted Florence instead of big money PL. When I think of an ideal club for him, then the 1st club in my mind was West Ham.

Michy Batshuayi. IMO he's the one we'll get. He had same numbers as Dybala last season (games, goals, assists) and let's not forget Ligue 1 has some tough defences just like Serie A.

It's a move that screams Juventus all over the place. Marotta and Paratici have a good relationship with his club and they always bring in these players with lots of potential and double or even triple thier value in a year. Even Lemina is worth 20 million now and was bought for 10.

Bring this Batshuayi kid in. The sooner, the better.

I agree.. Batshuayi.. But just because he doesn't cost 30M+ yet and had good numbers this year...

I'd rather have a better striker but we aren't capable of something like that yet

Yep, Batshuyai would be a shrewd signing considering he is younger than Morata, would play in the same exact roles as him and his price is mostly covered with the Morata money. Add in Isla to sweeten the deal by 3-5mil and it's all good. He wouldn't be an old plug-in, but a signing for the future.

And even if he flops, his age, nationality and position would guarantee we would barely lose money if he has to be shipped after a bad season.

We'd have 3 CF's and one SS.

I wouldn't mind, Morata wasn't an SS either and Batshuyai and Morata share similar traits. There really aren't many young, prolific second strikers in the game that are available, at least in our price range.
I dont know much about him but I'd say we need an SS more than anything.
