It means the player has showed that he can score on consistent basis in Serie A.

He has 3 seasons in Serie A, and is kind of box striker thats mainly about goals, and he has 9, 11 and 5 Serie A goals in last 3 seasons (and only one of them is aa bench player, with us) . Does this qualify as proven to you? There are several attackers who can do similar numbers to qualify this as proven. Enough to make us run away with 30m or plus whatever EPL would offer.

We don't have any guarantees that the likes of Lapadula or even Batshuayi would score 10 goals a season. I'm with you on the money part, 30m is huge money for someone like Zaza. I just don't want us to disturb the team dynamics too much and if Zaza wants to keep on fighting for his game time and is content with a bench role I see no reason to sell him.

Just to follow up your idea. Injured Verrati still would cost millions to poach, a lot. And remember that verrati is not dying to return to crappy serie A. He has tasted CL football and stardom, he wants a next step and thats spain or england, not a step back, even if it means Juve...Italy is bad.

Gomes, if rumours are true.... will be around 50 mils. verrati could be 60 or more.
