Juventus join Kovacic chase
By Football Italia staff

Mateo Kovacic has reportedly been offered to Juventus for €25m, just a year after he joined Real Madrid.

The young Croatia international struggled for playing time under both Rafa Benitez and Zinedine Zidane, so could be released this summer.

Milan had already shown an interest, but wanted him on loan with an option to buy.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Real Madrid used the recent Champions League Final in Milan to offer Kovacic to Juve.

They are looking for a creative midfielder and Kovacic could well fit the bill, as well as being more readily available than first choices Andre Gomes, Miralem Pjanic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The former Inter man already has experience of Serie A too.

Slimani to replace Morata?
By Football Italia staff

Juventus could replace Alvaro Morata with Sporting CP’s Islam Slimani if the Portuguese Press are to be believed.

Slimani has shot to prominence after scoring 31 goals for Sporting, who finished the season second in the Portuguese top flight, and A Bola claims his exploits have not gone unnoticed in Turin.

Consequently, as doubts grow over Morata’s future, the Spaniard having admitted his “desire” to return to Real Madrid on Monday, the Bianconeri may look to the Algerian as a replacement.

However, Juve reportedly face competition for the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Atletico Madrid and Premier League champions Leicester City for the 28-year-old, who would set the quintet back around €15m.

Kovacic for anywhere around 20M or with the silly loan + buy option is a no-brainer...
You think it would bring more to the team than 38 million euro man Pjanic? Not so sure yet about Kovacic, but I'll let the Board make those decisions.

No he won't bring more than Pjanic. But the deal is too good to pass up. Kovacic would be worth 40M+ after a year here with regular playing time (he was worth 40M 2 years ago playing for shit Inter).

We could potentially get both though.

Haven't seen that much of Kovacic really but he surely seems like someone we normally buy/loan and who we probably should go for. And he looks more likely than Pjanic that's for sure.
