Berardi has great stats but this year he sucked hard. those 7goals included with 4 pens. So 3 goals on action in 39games! seriously?
If the fee was 18-20 ok but 25....... way too much
And he won't accept the bench easly. I can already see the problems coming if we bring him to not play frequently.
To bring Berardi we have to switch to 4-3-3 having a trio formed by Berardi-Zaza-Dybala but then we'd need to buy 2 wingers as subs

And still Viola has scored 60 goals while Sass only 49 which is comparable to Inter (Inter has one goal more even).
He also has only 2181 minutes which is around 24 full games. Im not saying he was great this season, but for still 21 years old guy it wasnt bad campaign.

Zaza scored the same ammount of goals in a third of the time played by Berardi.
Dude i'm for the "let's focus on the midfield" and then bring a 4th striker which must be cheap and accept the bench and give more playing time to Zaza.

Gotze 35m (i know Bayern is supposed to pay us next year but you know mate they still own us 25m from Coman they can talk things out imo)

Lapadula 7m dude Serie B striker and he didn't do that good to be valued that much. Plus he is 26years old not 18-21.

We should try to keep it simple. Pjanic would really add something to the team. Lets consider him an upgrade on Pereyra - we should try to offload him if we get a decent price - say 15m.

This is simple but effective.

IN:
Pjanic - 38m buy out.
Cuadrado - 10m + Asamoah
Morata - 20m buy out.
De Sciglio - 8m (versatile and plays both sides)

Other Proceeds: Isla for 5. NET ~70m. In terms of Roster: IN: PJANIC, DE SCIGLIO; OUT: CACERES, PEREYRA, ASAMOH

Maybe add a low value high potential DM in the mix to complete the roster. If we want to go crazy, then bring in Black Jesus as well.

But Pjanic on his own, will help the team a lot. I am fairly happy with the rest of the squad as it is especially since players like Dybala, Morata, Lemina, Rugani and Sturaro are likely to only get better next season. I could probably say the same for Cuadrado as well.

Well, if we want to keep Pogba here, we'll have to give him a better contract. It'll be rather sooner than later. Dybala won't stay for too long at ~2.5m get gets now, that's for sure.

I don't know how much Gomes makes right now but I'm sure we can give him 3-3.5m net and that's within our wage structure. I guess that's the reason we could actually spend more on Gomes than Pjanic in transfer fee (Gomes could go up to 50m with bonuses).

Honestly, for the money, its hard to find someone better. When Marchisio returns we could have a mid 4 with Khedira, Marchisio, Pogba, Pjanic with Cuadrado on the bench giving us an option to switch to a front 3 or wingback. He is perfect for us. We should just do it.

Of course, I am making a big assumption on Cuadrado there.

Of course he can but he did reach his ceiling before and therefor he's way more expensive than someone like Berardi who's just as versatile, Italian, knows the league and will fit in immediately. Not to mention he's practically almost ours.
