Better depth than previous yrs.

I dont think it will affect Rugani's development(or his playtime for that matter) considering how injury prone some of our other CB's are.

Like i said its better to have an injury prone Benatia than an injury prone Caceres and for a loan + buy option, its worth taking the gamble.

Reading his injury thread on the Bayern forum but he's mostly been out injured due to muscle problems.

Sounds like a perfect addition to Juventus.
as long it's a loan with the option... but still i don't see the point...
Cause if you get Benatia Rugani will be forever benched or they already know that Chiellini will be injured for the next season.
Dunno guys i prefere someone like Tonelli so we can bench him and give chances to Rugani and Tonelli if Chiellini and Barza aren't fit.

Getting Benatia NOW is senseless unless they plan to sell Bonucci for 50-60m.

Right now we have a 25 men squad, which means that 3 players will surely have to leave in order to find place for 3 homegrown players.
And after these 3 players leave (lets say it's Neto, Rubinho and Caceres), one player will have to leave for every new player we get.

It means that in order to get Benatia, Gomes, Cavani, Berardi etc, we'll have to sell or loan a player from the current squad. Most probably we won't be keeping the loaned players (Cuadrado, Lemina and here I'll add Morata who's likely to go back to Madrid).

We most probably won't be replacing a position for the same position (RB for RB). We do have lots of CMs, so I'm guessing this is where we'll cut something in order to add more defenders. In addition to Pogba, Marchisio and Khedira, we also have Asamoah, Sturaro, Hernanes, Pereyra and Lemina. I'm guessing we'll go with 6 CMs for next season instead of the 8 we have. But we're thin in defense, so that's where we'll add players.

People who say Berardi replaces Cuadrado are wrong: especially if we keep playing 352. Berardi is no wingback.

As things stand Berardi is much closer to being Morata's replacement than Cuadrado's. Berardi already played in 352 as SS and he'd be a very good option to rotate with Dybala. Notice that Morata played as SS mostly this season.

Oh and let's forget Cavani. Even if Beppe mentions him it's always journalists who insist on Cavani to Juve question.

My prediction is: Berardi replaces Morata as SS and Vrsaljko/Widmer replace Cuadrado.

Hernanes leaves and Andre Gomes comes.

Benatia is a tough one, I'd hate to see Rugani being only 5th CB. The kid has immense potential, already showing it. He should be trusted more but it looks like he'll be set for the bench.
Something in my water tells me that RM want Morata to play for them next season and Berardi is the very obvious replacement.

If Gomes does arrive - and i hope that Juventus management pulls all the stops out to finalize the deal- Hernanes is the player that will be moved on.

Benatia is good but the price may be prohibitive. As you say Rugani has to be given every opportunity to continue his development.

Whatever happens, it is encouraging that Beppe is appearing to act now and tie up as many loose ends as possible before the Euro 2016 tournament gets underway in a few weeks time. This has been a problem in the past ahead of both Euro and World Cup championships interfering with the discussion process.

Bayern are paying 28 million for Coman.
28 including the sum of the 2 year loan..It's 28 in total 4+3+21

As for the HG conversation, audero will replace rubinho to be our second HG player, an leali counts as HG player and he did well for frosinone so I think he can replace Neto who is reportedly going on loan to get some playing time, that leaves us with another place that can be left empty or filled with marrone it won't make much of a difference I guess

3 primavera players will do and allow 25 player squad.

Pogba is not juve academy product.

- - - Updated - - -

The changes, which take Italy from having no squad size rules to being in line with the standard used in UEFA competitions, limit Serie A clubs to 25 over-21 players. Of those, no more than 17 can be non "home grown" players, meaning players who spent at least three years between the ages of 15 and 21 as part of an Italian club, be it in their academy or first team squad, or even away on loan so long as an Italian club still holds the player's contract.

Adding a further layer of restriction is that, of the eight roster slots held for players who trained in Italy, four of those are reserved for "club trained" players, meaning players who spent at least three years in that younger age range with the club that currently holds their registration. While most Italian teams won't have any issue with the first home grown restriction, the club trained player requirement will likely trip up many clubs.

Players who are under-21's (not yet 21 at the start of the calendar year in which the season began) are unaffected by these changes and can be used freely.

Despite the difficulties many clubs will face in meeting these requirements, all 20 Serie A clubs have agreed to immediately restrict their squads to follow these rules*. The change was put in to place not just to bring Italian squad rules more in line with UEFA's, but also to help aid financial stability for clubs by reducing bloated squads while promoting the strengthening and better usage of Italian academies.

*UPDATE - An earlier released version of the FIGC's statement did not sufficiently clarify the starting date, and left an implication that the rule took effect immediately. It was later updated to reflect that the rule is effective as of next season.

While for now this change doesn't affect clubs in lower divisions, it seems likely that some form of restrictions will be put in place there eventually. Also apparently unaffected is the large matchday squad size in Serie A; while most top-division leagues and UEFA competitions have an 18-man matchday squad with the eleven starters and seven subs to pick from, Serie A allows coaches to name a 23-man matchday squad, greatly increasing their options off the bench.

The FIGC also enacted tighter constraints on the ability of Italian clubs to bring in players from outside the European Union. Previously, there were restrictions on acquiring non-EU citizens based on a club's position and how many non-EU players were already in the squad, but nothing else past that. Now, the FIGC will only allow academy-aged players to sign with Italian clubs if they've already established four years of residency in Italy.

They've also made it harder for clubs to replace a sold non-European citizen with another, adding a requirement that such "replacement" signings must have been signed to a professional contract for at least three years. That makes it functionally impossible for Italian clubs to sign up-and-coming stars in South America or Africa before they get more expensive, something that clubs who have had issues developing their own young talent have done for years.

These will be pretty big changes to how Italian clubs operate, especially in the transfer market. Seeing how the squad size restrictions play out with Italian clubs will be interesting to watch unfold, and tomorrow we'll be taking a look at how Serie A clubs could be affected by this new rule.
This is important. Berardi and Rugani dont count as U21, if we sign Diawara and Gabriel Jesus for example (both 19) they wouldnt count in the 25 players list and we could use them either instead of 2 homegrown players or as 26th and 27th players in our roster

Hernanes and Pereyra will be sold you'd assume. Lemina to stay.
We need to get 11M for Hernanes, i doubt we will sell for less especially since he showed good form towards the end of the season. As for Pereyra, him and Asamoah are the likeliest CMs to leave imo

I think we can assume that Morata and Cuadrado are leaving. We have no pulling power whatsoever when it comes to these two but it was well known when we were getting them.
Then you have Hernanes who is the obvious one to leave but I'd throw in there one more CM out of: Asamoah/Pereyra/Sturaro. Sturaro is probably not for sale but he'd attract the most interest and brought the most money out of the 3. It'll depend on opportunities I guess.

I predict Lemina will stay. Beppe might try to lower the price but as things stand we should have no problems with signing him, the option is still there if Marseille refuse to negotiate.
