*That's not our current or past midfield. In a 4231 it was Thiago-Vidal or Alonso-Vidal (aided by inside FBs). I expect Carlo to play a 433 with Renato-Thiago-Vidal, Renato-Javi-Vidal, Thiago-Javi-Vidal or a 41212 with those four at the same time, Alonso should be a bench-warmer/youngster-mentor.

That being said, I frankly don't think Khedira Pjanic and Marchisio are on par with us or the Spaniards, plus you have a huge injury unreliability issue. I'm sad you sold Pogba (although glad now he's unlikely to end up at Barça or Madrid :D ). Sorry but the Higuaín-in & Pogbye doesn't make sense to me at the prices you conducted your business ;S

(As always, just sharing my opinion, not trying to incite hate or pick a fight).

Completely agreed.

Except is too soon to talk about a midfield with Renato Sanches being better then most others, but Vidal and Thiago combo is defenitely better then what we have. Even if Thiago is even more unreliable then Khedira in his fitness.

Hence the reason I said "when healthy"...

But I do disagree. I do think Khedira-Pjanic-Marchisio is as good as any midfield trio in the world when healthy. Unfortunately for us, those injury woes do exist, so it's a moot point until they can stay injury free for a season together.

Aside from this, at Javi and Thiago (easily as injury prone as Sami) and a child like Renato being listed as a strong point of your midfield.

Tiwlemans plays as regista right?. If we can use him as a vice marchisio, then we can play pjanic further up the pitch?.

Tielemans wasnt zachs wet dream a couple seasons ago?. Now he barely talks about him.

I think his “shiny toy” phaze ended, i guess
Tielemans was massively overrated a couple of seasons ago. Understandably so, because of his age, but still.

I don't care. I want a Marchisio-Nainggolan-Verratti midfield. NOW.

You agree with a guy who lists Renato, Thiago, and Javi Martinez as Bayern starters. Yeah. An unproven child, and two guys who have played as few matches as Khedira over the last 3 years.

Why the shit would you want that.

Pjanic > Mongollan.

Pjanic-Verratti-Marchisio is better.

Many agree with you. I think Higuain based off last year's performance is a top 5 striker, but he is 29 years old, and seems to lack mental fortitude at times. I wouldn't have spent that kind of coin on him. I would have rather looked at maybe activating Griezmann's if you could convince the player to leave.

He agrees because people want to overrate German teams for some reason. There was a very short timeframe in which Bayern really was the best team in the world, but it was just one season and they've strongly declined ever since.

the Renato comment is ironic coming from the club which made a star out of Pogba before 23. I have huge expectations for him, which seem justified, but if he doesn't progress as fast as I expect, we can always go with Javi+Vidal+Thiago or even a 4231 with proper wingers. I'm confident in the strenght of our squad this season.

Javi is indeed injury prone sadly. But he is such a beast, it's real shame :-/ (but I don't think we will rely at all in his fitness).

Sheer physical presence. I agree, Pjanic is probably the better player. But with Nainggolan-Marchisio-Verratti you have three players who combine fantastic physical attributes with great technique and superb positioning. We'd outrun, outmuscle and outplay every midfield out there. You just have to look at what Nainggolan did for Roma yesterday, basically the only decent player they had out there.

I love people who bash Serie A, while giving Bundes a pass. Yeah. Bundes with 1 CL victory in 15 years.

For reference Serie A has won 3 CL in those 15 years.

They rate Bundesliga because it makes them look like they know their stuff. No one would talk about German football, unless they were connoisseurs, right? It's the same reason you have guys saying Iniesta is better than Messi. It's just fucking stupid. No need to go into debates with them though, at some point you just have to stop.

Bundesliga sucks.

Just because we succeeded with Pogba doesn't mean all 18 year olds with high potential turn into superstars. Nor was Pogba a superstar his first year here.

You say Javi+Vidal+Thiago...

2 of those 3 players are as injury prone as Khedira. And more so than Marchisio by a country mile.

What I do agree with, is that Vidal is better than anyone we have in our midfield. Easy.

Khedira-Marchisio-Pjanic is as good as any. The only players I would only consider to be proper upgrades would be Vidal & Iniesta over Khedira and Pjanic. I don't think you could get a better midfield than that.

Reading comprehension much Mr Magoo? I specified exactly how I agree with him, the two players specifically that's top quality in their midfield that's better combo then ours, even questioned Renato so wtf you on? It's hilarious you are so hell bent in hurry trying to police others opinions that barely even read.

Javi not worth mentioning because besides also being a cripple will play in defence, not worth considering for midfield, tho if he was he would be Marchisio level DM, better ballwinner at his best.

Renato looked really good in Euro and reminded me of a linebacker. Vidal and Renato on at the same time will not be fun for opponents.

Because the Germans mould top young players and serie a is retirement league. Juve uses to stay in shape for Europe. Let's be honest

I rate Pjanic a lot.

And I do rate Nainggolan a lot too. I just don't see him ever playing here, so it's a moot point. He seems to have an irrational hatred of our club.
