Emre Can to Juve is a done deal but Serie A giants also wants to sign Man Utd midfield targets

01 May at 16:35
Serie A giants Juventus have all but sealed the signing of Emre Can, but are also exploring the possibility of signing Bryan Cristante and Paul Pogba.

The Old Lady have been after the Liverpool midfielder Can for several months now and have been left impressed by the German's performances at Anfield. Can joined Liverpool in the summer of 2014 and has become one of the club's most important players since then. While he is currently nursing a back injury, Can has appeared 26 times in the Premier League, scoring thrice and assisting four times.

TuttoSport believe that Juventus have beaten Bayern Munich and Real Madrid for Can, who is set to pen a final agreement to join the club. The bianconeri's chase for midfielders won't end there though as they will look to sign Bryan Cristante and Paul Pogba.

While Can will arrive on a free transfer as his contract at Anfield ends at the end of the season, they are monitoring Pogba's situation at Manchester United and can make an attempt to bring him back to Turin, if the chance arises.

Cristante himself is a United target and was recently signed a permanent basis by Atalanta from Benfica. Juventus see him as a player who can add bite to their midfield and increase squad-depth.

I saw that game live, amazing goal, but scoring occasional great golazos doesnt make you superstar potential.

I have nothing against this guy, but I SEEN him regurarly enough, and nothing about him is close to what you describing. A strong utility player with good basics, passing, alright technique, strong, excellent motor, all around decent DM. But not much of a difference maker.

Superstar potential? Nah bro, thats for Pogba level mids. I expect him to be better then Khedira right now, but anything more then that will be gravvy, for your own sake keep your expectations low.

But in his defence, he is both slighly more technical AND a better passer then Khedira.
his work rate and engine are reasons i want him here. he grinds for the team. We need guys like that in midfield so that guys like Costa and Dybala can do their thing

There's many players who have engine and grinta. Higher technical level and skill is what we need most in midfield, just a bonus if said player is more physical and has some grinta. Just look at the mids of the teams tonight. Modric, Kroos and Kovacic vs James, Müller and Thiago centrally.

Only grinta player in both teams mids was Tolisso, and that has excellent attacking capabilities.

I agree but for a free transfer which improves our team we can't complain. Heck we could play him at RB and we would improve. Or in place of Khedira in the CM we would have a good fighter next to Pjanic. Then if we can spend the money on SMS/pogba we would be able to ball hard

Report: Emre Can made secret visit to Juve training center

02 May at 09:26
Liverpool star Emre Can will soon put pen to paper on an agreement with Juventus. He Germany International has finally decided to give green light to his move to Turin and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport the player has agreed to sign a five-year, € 6 million-a-year deal becoming the third better played Juventus player after the likes of Gonzalo Higuain (€ 7.5 million-a-year) and Paulo Dybala (€ 7 million-a-year).

Reports in Italy claim Can has already visited Juventus’ training ground in Vinovo and talked to the Old Lady’s manager Massimiliano Allegri who, however, is being linked with moving to either Chelsea or Arsenal at the end of the season.

Allegri’s Juventus contract, however, expires in 2020 and Juventus’ board believe the Italian manager will remain in charge of the bianconeri for the next campaign.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims Emre Can’s visit in Vinovo was a secret one. The player, however, wanted to visit the club’s training facilities before making a final decision about his next club.

Inter tried to hijack Juventus’ bid for Emre Can

02 May at 12:30
Inter tried to steal Emre Can from under Juventus’ noses, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports. The nerazzurri need some midfield reinforcement and according to the Milan-based paper, Luciano Spalletti’s side tried to sign the Germany International who has been in talks with Juventus for over six months.

The player, however, had given his word to Juventus and wanted to keep it. Can has agreed to move to the Allianz Stadium as a free agent at the end of the season and despite Inter’s last-gasp attempt, Can did not change his mind and decided to move to Juventus. The German star had reportedly received an offer of Bayern Munich as well.

Juventus tried to sign Emre Can also during the last summer transfer campaign. Liverpool, however, refused to sell the talented midfielder for € 30 million and are now going to see him leave as a free agent.

Can has reportedly already visited Juventus’ training facilities and will soon sign a five-year, € 6 million-a-year deal with the Old Lady.
