I used to like Adebayor when he was at Arsenal...But when he left them, I lost respect for him, and then he has not managed to reproduce the kind of form at City, that Wenger got out of him. he left a family in north london and stepped into a far less cohesive team, horrible kit, rancid area...and far weaker, less experienced managers. I am a huge Wenger fan, rating him as one of the finest in the game...and the manner in which Adebayor left, purely for the money, bothered me. I felt as if he had wronged arsenal and wenger in some way. More a sensation than a serious suggestion though...because i think that Arsenal have purchased better offensive players since Adeyabor left. As always, Wenger knew what he was doing.
He would no doubt be amazing in the air for us, especially as we are moving back to wingers. he also has a decent touch for a giant. However, after watching him often in the premiership over the last few years, I agree with what Fred said about his inconsistency. Sometimes he is wonderful to watch and almost unplayable for all but the finest defenders, but more often, he is containable by average players. And I don't think its a question of talent, its completely about his attitude. the very last thing we need are any more players who lack determination and consistency of spirit.
The only way I would be happy to see him in our squad, is if we swapped him for Amauri.
