That could well be the case, except for the fact that if Moggi had been hearing about the talk on Juve fansites, he would've signed some bloody defenders at Christmas . That, and we wouldn't be hearing about so many transfer rumours involving Maresca :irritate:
Nah, Luciano had all of this planned. He purposely didn't buy any defenders in the January transfer market so that we would suck and Lippi would resign. Not only does Moggi want the best players for us, he wants the best coach. Well done, Marco
Roma have admitted that they are considering a number of offers for two of their star players.
Both Walter Samuel and Emerson have been linked with moves away and the Giallorossi have been contacted by several clubs.
"We are evaluating bids which have been made," sporting director Franco Baldini told Roma Channel. "The final decision will be ours though."
Samuel is being heavily linked with a switch to Real Madrid and Chelsea, while reports allege that Emerson wants a move to Juventus.
That could be a problem for Roma as they would prefer to sell the Brazilian to a foreign club or Inter given their difficult relationship with the Bianconeri.
Although the two men look likely to leave, the Stadio Olimpico official insisted they would be replaced.
"Our sales will be used to help finance the arrival of new players, who have already been chosen, and in part to improve our economical situation," he added.

I find that rather hard to believe. But who knows with Moggi. Maybe he is the Albert Einstein of football club managing.
An experienced and free defender with some pace, who has been instrumental in a fair bloody few of Roma's goal concessions? The only thing he's got going for him in my books is that he's free and he's better than the tripe we've been putting up with, but for the horrid state of our defence, we really could and should do better
