No, not literally.

But I bet everyone would be more excited if we got Vargas or Bastos.

Unlikely, but meh.. Elia is not that bad really. I hope he ups his game with us.

I dont know if I would be excited. I think Ill give him the benefit of the doubt. I know hes a good player but how hes playing at Hamburg is just mind boggling. Honestly you have to try to play that bad to be that bad because whether we like him or hate him we all know technically hes better then what hes showing. Obviously mentally he is very weak and not a very good professional. At age 24 hes obviously not mature for his age but we can blame him or the team management the fact is we'll never know why he lacks such maturity and mental strength but what I do know is with Conte and the leaders we have in Buffon, Del Piero, Chiellini Pirlo who have been to Glory to hell and trying to get back will smarten his ass up. Elia I think will improve at Juve even though I tihnk Afellay will suit us best, Elia can be a key player. I dont care who you are but once you are presented to the media and you are presented your jersey and put it on for the first time it will give you a chill and a sense of pride. We may be in a tough time but like Vidal said La Juve e La Juve.

yeah that speed and dribbling served us well with krasic, right ? speed and dribbling are of no use if you have terrible decision making...

i could understand if we were talking about the balotelli here, but elia is a mentally ill lazy street kid with not even half the quality/talent balotelli offers. totally not worth the gamble for us right now
To be honest Krasic have been close to non-existent the whole season except from the first few matches. I know he has potential, and will hopefully blow us away in the new season. But with Elia we have a player that can get past 2-3 players using his skills - that part we are missing I think. I know the guy has got some attitude problems, but with the right coaching/guidance he could turn into a great player. He will not be allowed to act like a little boy in Juventus - he will get his shit together -and will be the revelation of the coming season, believe me ;)

Balotelli is the last player I want to see in the black and white jersey!

Nothing great about substituting one useless player with another. I don't see the point in acquiring a moody, mentally fragile and weak individual and hoping he somehow transforms his game. After all, we acquired promising individuals in the past for them to fail miserably.

Case in point: Martinez and Motta last year. They were supposed to be doing well for their former clubs, and look how that turned out.

If we acquire Elia, it just goes to show that all this talk of quality over quantity is pure BS by our incompetent sporting director.

Martinez was the most retarded deal ever..after Almiron!

Motta was playing like dick for Roma..hell Cassetti was being picked ahead of him!!

I agree. They both suck donkey balls. However, Martinez was actually performing for Catania; Elia has been insignificant on the club scene for like 3 years now. He is not that young, and I doubt he will all of a sudden transform into a decent and effective winger, let alone a world beater.

Are you guys fucking dyslexic or something? I said comparison in terms of meaningfulness. I.e. Is there any logical reason as to why this transfer should go thru? Motta and Martinez are obviously shit; their transfers were unwarranted, but at least they showed promise at their respective clubs, and look at how that shit turned out. As for Elia, he has been shot at club level for quite some time now, hence the reason I'm totally against this transfer!
