He called the nt coach of us van Marwijk for an advice what the do. Dutch media are guessing what he asked/said
probably he asked if it was smart to go to juve :boh:
He knows van Marwijk won't take him to EC next year if he doesn't play regularly at club level.

Why is Elia not a good player? Have you actually seen him play - and I do not mean in the different youtube videos? The kids is really talented and he can dribble past his man - something that no one in the current squad apart from Vucinic is able to do.... And when we are not playing in CL or EL you cannot expect us to attract a better player...though I would like us to keep Pasquato :)

I guess he adviced him to go where he will get a chance to play regularly...he will get it here, unless Chelo will push him out of the line up.
I would love to see Juve give it another push to strike a deal for Afellay...otherwise,sign Elia,he's better than what we have.

Forza Juve!

They did and they failed. As will Elia.
I'm just thinking loud how to at least spend less while screwing our left wing.
I would much rather land here Afellay/Bastos/Vargas/Malouda.
But if we can't make it happen,i prefer to give Elia a chance instead of relying on Chelo/Giac to be our LW starter,or make it worse Marchisio.

AC, what do you think of Elia?
I think he has mostly character issues - a bit of a self-obsessed, lazy airhead. If Conte manages to cure him of that, he could turn out to be a very good move for Juve as he is a pretty technically gifted player.
If he was still 20/21 yo, I'd go for him, but at 24 already and not seeming to be getting any better, I'd think twice before getting him on a permanent transfer - loan with an option to buy has never looked this good :D

I'd still go all in for someone like Afellay or a cheap Malouda, though. If they are not available now, would just wait till winter when things could start moving on the Nani front too (not just Afellay) as opposed to just waste 10 mil, if not more, now just for the sake of buying a player, you guys will most likely be trying to get rid of next year (read Elia, Perotti, etc)

as usual, one of the better posters on this forum, is a milan fan. probably because he isnt biassed or something

anyway, i agree that we got good enough wingers in gia and exte, and if we cant land malouda/affelay, then we shouldnt sign elia for the reasons mentionned.
we just wait and see how both new wingers do, and possibly spend the remainer of the budget on a new winger in januari. since we got a non eu spot left, shouldnt be to hard.
