Better than not being able to beat a defender - Pepe runs around the field like a headless chicken. Anything is better than that

Elia is still 24 and has major room for improvement for the prime ages of 27-28.

Pepe's a better free kick taker, better crosser, safer on the ball, works harder and tracks back more, more versatile. The dude's not going to transform from useless to good enough at the age of 24. Whatever, this transfer is annoying me too much. You'll see what I mean.

so does elia, as i stated before the youtube vids are very flattering to the truth behind him in general, he is very raw, inconsistant and at times pretty lazy and disinterested, i don't want any of that shit at our club, to pepe's credit at least he tried to maximise his limited ability, elia is only interested in partying and being a twitter twat than to put his club first, that worries me alot, so big deal if elia has pace, so does pepe, what good is pace if you don't have an end product, which is what elia doesn't have, you could almost say he's a poor man's theo walcott. I'm totally against this signing, i would really prefer to go all out on bastos, even though we have pretty much given up on him now.

seriously youtube needs to ban all footballing compilations so they don't mislead fans to the reality behind their true form. I mean look at the elia stuff and sections of this forum are hyping him up, or even own hargreaves fitness videos, since they came out he's been a wanted man by clubs in england.

Yes but you could try your best and not come up with a compilation like that for Pepe.

The point is not that it shows Elia is a beast, but it shows he has some potential. After all, some of those vids contain footage of him owning people on the Dutch national team. He must have something in him. Can we get it out or not is another story.

oh i could easily make a video of pepe, enough to impress someone who has never even heard of him, you could use examples like his free kick he scored against boruc of fiorentina, or his goals, his pacey runs, some of his tricks. It wouldn't be hard.

Elia >>>> Pepe

Both are not Juve material though.

Having said that Elia still has a couple of years to become a strong player - Elia has scorching speed, Pepe doesn't - Elia can leave players for dead, Pepe can't - Elia just needs someone to build him mentally, and I think Conte is the right type of coach for that.
