Flamez,

After the season Vidal just had it would be foolish to suggest that Marchisio would start ahead of him. Even considering the fact that Marchisio is more used to this league, and our team. Can he become as good? Definitely

:disagree:

I'm pretty sure that in the last two years Marchisio has gone from being the next big thing to being one of the worst players in the world.

@Kasaki, do you follow bundesliga? I seriously hope this Vidal thing isn't just the usual overrating of the new players...

I saw him in Canada and he looked very very promising (just like Sanchez and Isla). I watched him in Copa America and he looked solid, with some pretty bad mistakes as well. I know this is probably not enough to judge him, but to me he has to prove he deserves a place in the team. As simple as that.

I used to follow him a lot back when FIFA ultimate teams first came out. I bought him in the game and he was decent so I started watching his games. He's really versatile and his stats this season pretty much sum him up. A complete box-box midfielder imo. He can also play a more withdrawn role like he did for Chile. If given the freedom to run forward he will score goals. So will marchisio as they share some of the same traits

@ Nick: It was me, I said Marchisio is our best performer this preseason.
And Vidal won't just walk in the starting 11, he should earn his place. Because Marchi until have been doing great.
I dont get this vidal versus marchisio thing

Vidal is going to be the allrounded destroyer in our midfield.
marchisio is in competition with pirlo to start next to him

we had some easy games till now, so we didnt really see the need for a real destroyer yet

both marchisio and pirlo played well, but once vidal arrives and settles in, it will become clear who will be the parter of vidal in the midfield.

But seriously, marchisio never had a season even remotely close to what vidal just had. i hope he can find his old form back tho.

I think it's quite clear Elia is better than Pepperman - But a right footed LW? Maybe more useful as he can cut in and shoot while Krasic will go to the by-line and cross.

Was sort of expecting a bigger player at LW to arrive when the club went for a cheaper option in attack, maybe that's too optimistic.
My thoughts as well. This feels very underwhelming. I don't understand how we went from chasing Aguero/Rossi along with a LW, to Vucinic and only 10m left for a LW. Part of the reason y Vucinic's transfer was so sensible was because we needed a LW more than we needed a star player upfront, and the money saved could be used to a quality player on the wings.

He's better than Pepe simply because he's faster and more capable of beating a defender. Pepe is horrible at everything, just runs around all day

Is Elia living?
Is Elia breathing?
Is Elia a human?

If the answers to those questions are "yes" then he is better than Pepe.
