You could argue which we would need more, but I'm not really willing to compare them anyway. We need Diego more, as he will be the brain in our attacks, whereas Elia would be 'just' a winger. Diego's position is more important and he knows how to play his part. He's a more complete player, which he has to be for that position.

So in other words, I wouldn't want Elia if it meant letting Diego go.

So in the end we pretty much agree anyway. ;)

My thoughts exactly.

Hamburg have denied that they have received a bid from Juventus for Dutch winger Eljero Elia.

Italian media had reported that the 23-year-old had been the subject of a 15 million euros bid from the Serie A giants.
Wolfsburg are also said to be interested in a player who played under their new boss Steve McClaren while at Twente.
However. Hamburg general manager Bastian Reinhardt has dismissed the speculation as old news.
"We have not received any offer (from Juventus) for Eljero Elia," he told Bild.
"It was in the course of our July friendly against Juventus when the officials from Juventus enquired about the player.
"Still we have not received anything concrete afterwards.
"Eljero Elia is under contract at our club and we also have not received a bid for him from Wolfsburg."
