I noticed that from an Indian colleague, in Hindi and Urdu you say Eidi?

We say Eidiyya :D

Eidi = my hand :p (in Arabic)

Eid Mubarak to all.

And Jeeks, it's okay for the late thread...the Shi'a Muslims wouldn't mind since they celebrate it today :smile:

eid mubarak to all. in my country we wish "selamat hari raya aidilfitri".

what is baryam, btw? i read that somewhere earlier in this thread. eidi/eidiyya is the gift in the form of money i suppose? nobody gave me any eidiyya... :(

Bayram is the Eid in Turkey...
