You'd make one terrible coach. Lich has been more than good.
Are you kidding? He was owned by Darmian in each leg against Torino. Skinned by Dybala even. The guy rarely puts in anything above a cross landing in the box let alone to someone's head that isn't on the other team. He might be good defensively but he has clearly looked much less than the player of the last two seasons.

When you say he can't cross you're exaggerating, the four full-backs can cross, players who can't cross are Motta, Molinaro and sometimes Grygera.

Lich hasn't been as good offensively as he he was last season, because he's played in a 4-1-3-2 formation most of the times and not 3-5-2. But he's still awesomely good, he shut down Real's flank, Dortmund's flank and has been solid for most part of the season.
I know I'm not the only one that notices his poor crossing. And I'm not discussing former FBs here but the current ones. Our crossing has been bad for years and had we actually had someone that could accurately put in a good cross more frequently we would probably have seen a lot more goals from players like Llorente.

Sport media set claim we've offered 40m for Cavani. This could close at 45imo if the player holds tough on his request.
Excellent.

if you are finding licht an awful RB then dont look for replacement of him there is no better players around.

Please... I doubt Lich was even giving his all against Torino in the 2nd leg. If you're going to look for specific moments to pick on him then that's easy, even Tevez and Vidal could be picked on specific matches/events, Chiellini and Bonucci too. So it's easy, we are talking about consistency here and stepping up for big matches and you're highlight Dybala vs Lich and Darmian in the 2nd leg.

Don't be an ass.

Bayern's attack is fading. Chelsea's is pretty damn good.
i think ours would be better with Cavani. Tevez > Hazard, Cavani > Costa, Morata > Remy (?), Willian > Dybala

Yes you are correct.Di Marzio published an article the other day which says PSG would avoid a loss if they dont sell him for less than 38m

Where Tevez/Vidal fails, they make up with winning goals or other contributions. Licht used to but as I said its regressing quickly.

And both legs Darmian owned Licht.

darmian is very good defensively and licht isnt that offensive so what you expect, but if you turn that around licht will own darmian when ever he try to attack.

That's why I said we need to find a fullback for either side that has the ability to add in both defense and attack.

i agree with rabih, even Pogba got skinned by Allan. and then i agree with Hust that lich has weaknesses like beating his man and crossing, but still he is one of the best out there. Darmian is just an upgrade and that doesn't make lich a bad player.

Its not about specific matches persé, but Lichtsteiner has been very underwhelming and supbar pretty much the entire 2nd half of this season.

Couple things here:

-Im not saying Licht is a bad player, I'm saying he can't cross and when that time comes you gotta consider the time it took that get that play evolved to the point of final product.

-Allan skinned Pogba I think twice but Licht over the course of two games. Regardless its only two games but there are other times too he gets silly bookings but so does Vidal/Bon/Chiellini, etc.

-We need a FB that does both well, not one or the other.

we all want fullbacks with pace, crossing, workrate, dribbling, defending and everything but find me one.
Darmian.

I like Cavani but not at the point if we have to sacrifice Pogba or Morata.

On Lich debate, he has been seeing a drop in his performance, and if we are going for Darmian, its healthy competition.

I knew I wasn't the only one that is noticing this. Id like to keep him but if a 15-20m offer came would it be silly to consider it?

Licht has been one of my favourite players but I'd sell him if we had Darmian lined up to replace him. He's regressing and Darmian is still in his mid 20's and looking every bit like a great player.

Darmian.
sorry bro i cant agree with you in that, darmian is a very good player but he is not a complete full back.

I think we need one. Darmian would work for both sides. I'd rather replace Licht at this point than Evra who has been doing quite well. Maybe its time to cash in on Licht, who knows that would be a tough decision to make. I see Licht going from Great (last season) to OK (this season) to inconsistent and frustrating (next season). Evra has actually gotten better as the season progressed.

- - - Updated - - -

Because Licht can't cross...actually the only one that can cross is probably Evra. And we literally have no one that can attack except for maybe Asamoah. We need a fullback that has that healthy combination. Licht has been frustrating this year.
Problem is we are terribly thin at full back, given that padoin has been filling roles there, I'm not entirely convinced that asamoah is the answer at left back when he returns i'd sooner see him return to midfield and save ourselves 20 mill on wasting it on someone like witsel or even allan. The thing is given Evra's improvements he probably has another season in him at most we need to start thinking about rejuvenating this ageing side starting from this summer now we either sign:

Darmian who can cover both LB and RB and use caceres as a cover RB and ditch romulo.

or

Sell caceres ditch romulo sign a RB and a LB

Whatever the scenario I do expect to sign at least one full back in the summer

As much as I like licht as a person he reminds me a lot in terms of krasic when he's on the ball and can be very one dimensional with his service to the forwards
