Just because people dont want him here, beppe will pull this off
Because that would be a bad thing. And if people truly "don't want him here" they should probably stop talking as they are definitely morons. Cavani is a proven world beater. But I agree with you on this. Let's not sign the perennial goal-scoring threat, let's sign the cold/hot/cold overrrated, overpriced Dybala...
That's not the issue. The issue is, is he worth spending every last penny the club has, or are there better and cheaper options? A player like Higuain is more creative and has scored 20+ goals for a top club, and not just middle table team on a lucky run like Napoli. Cavani does not have 40 yards of space ahead of him like he did in Napoli.

If anyone here watched Ligue 1 and see the chance after chance this guy misses, you'd change your mind.
So now Cavani's price is every last penny? Which is it, folks? Are we able to spend and therefore should risk money throwing it at the newest young gun to come out of South America in Dybala or are we broke and shouldn't spend? Because, at this point, their prices are getting very similar and, shedding Llorente's wages, wages shouldn't be as huge an issue as some people think. And how has Cavani, scoring at PSG and throughout CL, not scored for a top club? Are you trolling?
Still.Can't.Believe.People.Think.We.Can.Sign.Cavani.Without.Selling.Pogba
Except we can sign Cavani without selling Pogba.

It's fucking mind-blowing that people think Dybala is worth 40mil and Cavani isn't.

Well, the difference in salary alone is about 40 mil aside from any talent questions... So let's not pretend they'll come at the same price.
Wait... You actually think Dybala is going to play out a 5 year contract for us at 2mil a year. If he's good enough to justify a 40mil transfer we'll be forced to raise his salary almost each year if we want a happy player.

I have yet to see one valid argument as to why Dybala is worth 40 million but Cavani isn't.

And for those who talk about their salaries. First off, Cavani would be coming with a pay cut, whereas Dybala would certainly be coming with a pay raise.

Secondly, over the life of the contract, the odds are about equal that Cavani would be taking further pay cuts, while Dybala would be getting raises.

The difference in the contracts at the end of the day wouldn't be that much.

It's bad enough that I'm pretty perturbed at the reports that Juve already offered 32 million for Dybala, but I would petition to have Marotta committed if he were to spend 40

First of all he's not going to come to Juve for 40 million and it took Pogba 3 years to get his huge raise. Don't expect this overrated Argentine to walk in and demand 5 mil after 1 year...

7,5 as reported for Cavani is about 15 gross, about 45 mil over 3 years whereas Dybala would cost about 12 mil over the same periode. 33 in savings. And that's not even bringing up the difference in transfer sum.

But of course Cavani would be worth every penny. 'Though I also believe we have other more urgent needs than him.

We may not get him because some other team could offer more but whoever says we can't afford him without selling Pogba or compares him with Aguero saga has no idea what he's talking about.

Back then we had 100mln+ less revenue.

neighter are worth it.

Cavani would if he played at his Napoli levels. He's allready 28 tho, he'll have 4 good seasons left in him.

Dybala isnt as good as Cavani was, but he seems to have at least that potential. But last year of contract so fuck 40 mil.

But here is the deal. Cavani+Tevez is insane quality. But currently it seems Tevez is gone before Morata. We really need the creativity there, so i'd pick dybala in that case

If i could chose, i'd prefer to keep tevez another year tho

Its indeed important we take a look at the financial aspect.

Cavani is 28 and if he comes here, he'll drop in market value. We wont nearly make a profit financially.

Dybala should rise in value.

Knowing Marotta, he'd pick Dybala if he can get a good price, or Cavani if its an even better price

Actually 150m+ lesser if you factor in the new deals that kicks in this summer.

But yeah, its not like we cant afford him.We simply wont pay an over the top price like an EPL club would do for example, not that we should either.
