I'd rather see chances missed than not having them at all like, for example, is in lloriente's case
Do you consider Llorente or Cavani as the new R9?

CFs don't create chances, they convert them. Cavani wouldn't get the ball and dribble past 4 defenders like Messi or R9 did, neither will Llorente. Both are viable solutions in the air, Llorente is actually better, but is way slower and has perhaps worse technique. That has nothing to do with creating chances.

But cavani has the ability to dribble and challenge more than lorente.
And his work rate is very good, imo he will be very good add for the team and his style works for juve not to mention his experiance.

I always see him as another form of drogba

Cavani misses so many chances for PSG that he scored 25 goals last year and has 24 this year... People are rating Higauin higher who has never scored more than 29 in all comps, and can barely hit 25 as Napoli's focal point in attack. Cavani scored 33, 33, 38 in his 3 seasons at Napoli. His CL scoring record is very good @ both Napoli and PSG.

Calling Cavani anything less than world class is just so ridiculous. :sergio:

His record at PSG is definitely better then people give him credit for, especially as he's not the focal point there.

We have a lot of problems with our attacking play. Surely Cavani would give different options - like Morata with fast 'Pirlo' passes over the defense, but out main outlet is Tevez and with 2 forwards will always be. Llorente might not be a top scorer, but he does what he is supposed to do - presence in the air (a bit ridiculous with our top crosses) and hold-up play.
As I said Cavani would add options, but would we be able to use them as a group is a whole different matter.

Either way we need SPEED in this team and everyone knows it.

That's not the issue. The issue is, is he worth spending every last penny the club has, or are there better and cheaper options? A player like Higuain is more creative and has scored 20+ goals for a top club, and not just middle table team on a lucky run like Napoli. Cavani does not have 40 yards of space ahead of him like he did in Napoli.

If anyone here watched Ligue 1 and see the chance after chance this guy misses, you'd change your mind.
There is no comparing Higuain with Cavani. Cavani is on a different level.
