Both Cavani and Lewandowski are overrated and wasteful as shit. Their performances don't live up to their names. Lewandowski is a better passer than Cavani, but Cavani provides more tenacity and physicality.

It will be next to impossible to find Tevez' heir. I think snapping Higuain from Napoli is the best bet. Wasteful, yes, but he can make something out of nothing, something that neither Lewandowski nor Cavani can do. If RM find a Benzema replacement, Benzema would be a fantastic signing. Considering Chelsea is set in that department, I don't see any team rivalling Juventus in terms of prestige.

What striker isn't wasteful by peoples standards today though?

I see Ronaldo taking 400 shots per game, Messi is probably ever so slightly out of our reach.

Suarez misses plenty of opportunities, but can come out of nowhere with a goal. Neymar, jesus he misses easy chances for fun.

At any rate, Cavani wouldn't be a Tevez replacement. He'd be a #9 upgrade. I'd definitely take Higuain or Benzema but we're not even linked to them by trash reports yet nevermind having any legit interest.

Too many people have a world class image of Napoli's Cavani in their head. Go on the PSG board's and see how much they want Cavani to leave. The guy went like 3 months without scoring in the league. Guy can't deliver day in and out for a top team.

Benzema a fantastic signing but Cavani not? Higuain can create, but Cavani not? I am not Cavani fan, but LOL.

Benzema is the most overrated striker since... well shit, Higuain in his Real days.

Yeah but Madrid fans also want Bale to fuck off in to a dark alley way and crawl up & die they mostly hate his guts. Yet he'd be a massive improvement for most other teams in the World including us. PSG were spoiled watching a prime Ibrahimovic upfront the first couple of seasons, and then they look at Cavani's price tag and think he should be doing similarly well.

He's been a let down at PSG, but despite playing out of position most of the time and playing 2nd fiddle to Ibra he's still putting up good numbers and there's not a doubt in my mind that Cavani would come here and stake a claim on the #9 spot with ease.

Cavani has 1 assist in the league, Lichtsteiner 4, Higuain 7, Tevez 7, Benzema 10, Suarez 15. Cavani plays in the weakest out of all the leagues. Even if you believe that playing in the wing (which he only plays a part of the time) is harming his goals. What's harming his assists?

Tevez is a good striker for the team not just because of goal scoring but the fact that he can make something out of nothing. Cavani is a physical player, not a creative one.

I never said he was an assist machine, he's not remotely creative. And I couldn't care less if my free scoring #9 is creative or not. That's why I said he's not a Tevez replacement, but an upgrade on our #9 position. As far as replacing Tevez goes, it's either Dybala or nothing right now because we can't afford somebody like Aguero.

Aguero is more of a 9 than a Tevez.
He can still come deep and create for others. If you want an exact Tevez replacement then you'll be waiting a while because what makes him so unique is his ridiculous workrate, small yet stocky frame and intelligence. You can replace his workrate with a Cavani or a Mandzukic but they're compeltely different in every other aspect

Cavani is way too expensive for just an upgrade on #9 position. If 40-50 million are spent, you want a player who can also create for others, in addition to scoring. Higuain is money much better spent. About a year younger and much more versatile.

I wonder how much of a "team confidence" player Higuain is.

Plenty of cases of players who perform excellent when around them are confident players who carry the teams morality, but are a level or two below when such players arent around.

When used right Higuain was quite the player at real. Yet his form sortha depends currently on how Napoli is doing, and they dont really have outspoken frontline leaders, its mostly Higuain himself.

At juventus, our entire midfield carries xcept Pereyra. Tevez carries even more.

I know we cant bloody afford it but, if we'd sell Llorente for something 8-10 mil (IF) and we'd get

Tevez, Dybala, Morata, Higuain

We'd be having a pretty damn insane frontline

but i know, we cant afford it.
