Juve close on Cavani deal
By Football Italia staff

There are mixed reports over the outcome of a Juventus summit with Edinson Cavani, as Atletico Madrid call PSG.

It is well known that the former Napoli striker is a prime transfer target for the summer, especially with club coffers buoyed by reaching the Champions League Final.

According to Calciomercato.com, Juve have already agreed terms to keep Cavani on the current €7.5m wages he earns at Paris Saint-Germain.

This would involve an accounting trick to spread the real cost over bonuses, which do not count on the wage bill.

The Juve wage cap is €5m per season and Carlos Tevez is the highest paid player on €4.5m.

It’s claimed the club would give Cavani a signing-on fee worth €17.5m, which would make up the difference in a lower official wage.

However, Sport Mediaset warn that agreeing terms with the Uruguay international is not enough, as Atletico Madrid are lobbying with PSG to sign the player.

There is the risk of a bidding war, so Juve reportedly set a 10-day deadline for Cavani to accept or they’ll find an alternative.

FFP. Would this be something we get caught with our pants down over?
Remember one thing. Not only are Juve well within the parameters of losses, but they may actually start to be in the black.

Unless this is something that circumvents how UEFA allows for payments of players, then I wouldn't be concerned.

Given Marotta's extensive financial background and his continuous mantra of adhering to FFP (Even when everyone else was laughing at him for mentioning it 2 years ago), I would be pretty confident in the knowledge that he knows this would be OK.

Are you laughing because its like, we are getting Cavani who gives a shit about Berardi or because....why are you laughing? :D

Yeah, plus I think he's overrated. Would love for him to prove me wrong, though. But yeah, if we were to get Cavani, who cares about Berardi?

Now, the real question is this.

Who gets to open the player thread if he comes?

In my 12 years here, I've never had the opportunity to do one.

And the sources are calciomercat and sportmediaset :howler: so it's bullshit anyway.
I would think so.

It's the sort of contrived article that reminds me of past suggestions of certain companies helping Juve sign a high-profile player for marketing purposes.

it would be great if we can get both of them but not need sell our key player for sign with them. my mean we dont need to cavani and dybala unless tevez or morata leaves.we just need to one of them.
