 I seriously don't give a shit. Silva is far superior in every aspect and facet of the game; to even argue who the better player is, is both ignorant and ludicrous.

Pepe has done a lot this season, and improved greatly, but he's still an average to good player, nothing spectacular. To state that you'd not sacrifice him for Silva is ridiculous, to say the least.

Zacheryah for once mentioned something worth reading and it is Pepe's impact in the dressing room. He might be a limited player but his character is needed in training and in the dressing room. I bet he is friends with everyone and such people are what glues a group together.

The exact same scenario as Aguero is being repeated. They go and play the Olympics too, will he decide before going there?

Will he smile when asked about Juventus? :howler:
:D

Remember the "meeting on Thursday"? About 100 pages went by full of semen and it turned out there wasn't any meetings.

I'm not disputing his impact, but to say he's better than Silva is laughable and silly.

I struck me when i saw the scudetto celebration video's
guys like that really unify a group, and a single guy like that can have a higher effect then 1 good individual

a guy like pepe is also a buffer, when a problem occurs, they are likely to help solve it, or keep the mood up

and that so very important in team sports

They might not be as big as Pepe in the dressing room, but Vucinic and Bonucci seem to be great for the atmosphere as well.

Yes, he's adorable, and yes his positive energy resonates. However, if an opportunity arose to acquire Silva, I wouldn't hesitate to discard Pepe. The gulf in quality is immense, that such a sacrifice would be justifiable and logical.

It's like saying Matri is indispensable. If Napoli are willing to accept an offer of 20 Million + Matri for Cavani, I'm personally willing to walk with Matri from Torino to Naples.

but think about it, we won a scudetto because we are a team

why sacrifice the team for an individual, will it really be better ?

Hypothetically, yes. We don't know what sort of impact Silva might have, both on and off the pitch. I'm not saying revamp the whole squad, but add quality, and Silva is the definition of that. Let's say someone comes in with an offer of 10-12 Million for Pepe; we could use that money to improve the squad. For me, the only indispensable players are Buffon, Chiellini, Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, and to a certain extent Vucinic & Lichsteiner. The others are all available for sale at the right price, especially our forwards whom I don't rate very highly. I'd include Del Piero in the list of indispensables, but it seems the management have already made up their mind :sigh:

Regarding the Silva vs Pepe debate, We are never going to find out tho, cuz Silva is never joining us. Pointless discussion :sigh:

Wait, are we talking about THE David Silva from Man City, and people saying that they would rather have Pepe?

Oh My.

I can't believe what I've just read. I think I'm going to faint in anguish

 I know, but we were arguing about his impact on the dressing room, and how he'd mesh/blend with the team. Pepe seems to get along with everyone seamlessly/effortlessly, and we were debating, rather Zac was, whether that would be worth sacrificing :D
