that's not why they don't want him. the reason they don't want him is because they don't think he would fit with our style of play.

These people have no idea what they are talking about and should just log out of this forum permanently and cease producing offsprings. a good striker will score goals regardless of what formation he plays in (as long as he is played as the main striker)

amauri was a good striker, iaquinta is a world cup winner something not even messi and c.ronaldo are yet :shifty: where are the former 2 now?
straw man argument, therefore you lose before you have begun . you compare amauri who never scored more than 15 goals a season to dzeko, who is a natural predator.

dzeko stats last years:

07-08 17 games 8 goal 7 assits.
08-09 30 games 30 goals 7 assits
09-10 41 games 28 goals 9 assits
10-11 28 games 14 goals 5 assists
11-12 24 games 13 goals 6 assists

so not only does he score consistently with an average of a goals every 2 matches, he also assists just a little bit under our top assists forward vucinic.

yours is the straw man argument, who talked about dzeko? it's your saying that good strikers will score goals regardless of the formation and play style when in reality it's not always the case.

one more thing to to say.

both higuain and dzeko have proven their goal scoring abilities when they are not even the preferred strikers, which should tell you something of their character and abilities to sniff out chances (trezeguet style, peasants)

cavani only has shown how well he can score when he has become the main spearhead of a napoli side.

you described amauri as a good striker..... you did

what does iaquinta being a world cup winner have to do with anything? why even mention such a utterly pointless thing?
