Couple of caveats to that- Higuain wasn’t good in 2019-20 due to being second fiddle to Ronaldo and Dybala.
Never mind, just thinking we had those guys in attack compared what to what we have now makes me wanna cry.
Ah man I was on the wind up. Still interesting to see that Dusan's numbers hold up on paper despite what we've seen on the pitch.

Dude, you should pay more respect to Susan. He is only 41 goals behind CR7.
The argument are his salary, when you pay so much for a forward you expect him to deliver and be available for big games but last year he spent out of the squad in the most important games and wasted remarkably many chances. Besides, he excessively played individually and was selfish when he could have passed the ball to his teammates in serious opportunities.
look at the list taken from transfer market website- he is the sixth most paid CF in the Europe.

He might be sold in the winter so we don't lose him for free in the summer.
❗️ The future of #Vlahovic at #Juventus is again hanging on a thread. Despite the four goals scored between league and UCL, the club would have decided to put him again on the mercato as of January to avoid losing him for free. #Juve aims at monetizing and spreading part of his €12M salary, and meanwhile is looking at the future with #David and #Openda, signed in the summer. In the background there are mainly #ManchesterUnited and #Chelsea, both interested in the Serb.

I dont oppose to the idea but I think we can reach an agreement for extension for a lowered sum. He knows he wont get this contract anywhere
The contract expires in the summer and he insists on a salary increase. No club will pay him the salary he is asking for. It is disrespectful to Juve, like what Chiesa and Dybala did.

I don’t mind him staying until his contract runs out if he keeps helping the team and scoring goals. He stepped up big time against Dortmund, credit where it’s due.

But let’s be real, the club better not renew him. We can’t make the same mistake twice. Some things, once broken, never get fixed. Trust and loyalty aren’t negotiable. He showed he can’t be trusted. So fine, do your job, we’ll back you on the pitch, and when it’s done you can respectfully fuck off.

We better cash in whatever we can if there’s a chance to get a reasonable fee in January while getting his wages off our books earlier, rather sell and use the funds to reinvest right away in a player that will have a future in this team rather than giving another 6 months of playing time to someone that is guaranteed to leave for free in the summer anyway.

With David not finding his feet and Milik out cold he's our only reliable striker. Selling him for peanuts in the winter doesn't really make sense. If we couldn't get 20 mil for him this summer we won't get more than 10 in the winter window.

I guess that’s a valid point too, depending on circumstances and/or lack off opportunities we might eventually be better off just keeping him around that bit longer, but truth be told he too is the very definition of someone that is unreliable and inconsistent.

To date, there are no chances, or even better, discussions for a possible contract are completely stopped and we expect #Vlahovic to leave #Juventus as a free agent. This is the situation as of today.
