He spoke and performed like a genuine leader in this one, regardless of his contract situation i really hope he can continue this way because the whole team benefits from it and it would mean that our results are on the right track too.

just a average player. slow af, subpar technique, can’t pull off a decent shoot from distance, ridiculously imprecise in the box, always running into the same 2-3 finalising patterns, physically, can’t win a aerial duel or hold a ball up. just look back at his fiorentina goals,, 3/4 at best stood out as something a normal striker can’t pull off, all the rest is Matri-esque stuff. even in these last 2 wondrous games, his goals are completely average.

Do y’all think that maybe this all has to do with stamina and his mind getting foggy from too much efort when playing more minutes from the start? He always seems so fresh and enthusiastic when coming on as a super sub with about 30mins to go against tired legs but instantly goes back to being useless once he starts games against fresh legs.

I thibk he's realised how shite David is and now he doesn't have to worry about competition so he's defaulted to meh mode.

Real talk we have struggled for years against teams that have their defences well set-up. Starting Dusan yesterday was a gamble because it's not about form it's about his being un suited for that type of opponent

Actually the next target is Higuain(66). Dusan is 4 goals away from that
Looked it up and saw

In Serie A:

Higuain 48 goals in 105 games
Vlahovic 45 goals in 108 games

Overall:

Higuain 66 in 149
Vlahovic 62 in 150

Comparable numbers despite Higuain having a season less - meaning Dusan has had more than half a season's worth of injuries more than Higgers.

The numbers obviously don't tell the full story - Higuain was playing with world-class teammates and Dusan has to make do with Kelly and co so obviously you'd expect Higuain to score significantly more not basically the same if he's so great and Dusan so shite

Apart from the injuries, Dusan was also benched for a long time last season with Kolo Muani starting.

Couple of caveats to that- Higuain wasn’t good in 2019-20 due to being second fiddle to Ronaldo and Dybala.
Never mind, just thinking we had those guys in attack compared what to what we have now makes me wanna cry.

Higuain had 1 good season with Juve , 1 mid, after which they had to loan him out, and 1 just for the meme. Vlahovic, on the other hand, has clung to his mediocrity and lack of talent like a fly to a pile of cow shit.

He has genuinely upgraded, last year, he wasted nine out of ten chances and scored one, but this year he has scored almost all of his chances, even the less serious chances.
