Looks like he is going to stay as backup to Milik.
I don't think we should keep him as backup. If he does not leave or sign an extension we should isolate him from the group hence make him miss the World Cup with Serbia.
Not even Next Gen. He simply should not be allowed to train with the group or get any match time regardless of the level.
If we do this, not only will he not be selected for Serbia but he will be so out of shape and lacking match fitness and sharpness that the next club he signs for will not find him useful in the first half of the season. He will also get minor injuries easily due to lack of fitness.

Although it would hurt us financially we need to make a statement for future players who might think to do what he did.

At this point extending his contract is not an option. Worst case we are stuck with him until he runs out his contract. Best case we offload him at a small loss. Remember he is costing us something like 20m a year on gross wages so losing 10m on a sale is better than having him permanently benched.

The worst case would be 'not being able to buy Kolo (or another replacement). Vlaho's millions are lost anyhow.

Liverpool are set to submit to Newcastle a second bid as revealed last week. The striker still pushing to leave NUFC and wants to join #LFC, which have already agreed personal terms for a contract until 2030 with the option for 2031. Talks in progress. #

If Isak leaves Newcastle, they need a new striker. Dusan?

He was offered a new contract but he asked for increase salary.

To me a NG player is enough for replacement. Do the job.

If Isak leaves, they'll just push harder for Kolo knowing that we cannot get Kolo without selling Dusan and Kolo won't hang around forever...

Nah nah, we need a really good striker. Last season doubles down on that for me.

Right now we're one David injury away from disaster. Like we were with Bremer last season, you know it will happen if we don't buy adequate cover.
Surely we should sign a striker. I ignore keeping Vla for another year and would sell him if an offer with right price comes. Now we need two strikers, Muani and ?. there are no better option on the market. they have been signed in the early days of transfer window.

"I'm staying until the end of the contract": this would be the intention of Dusan #Vlahovic, even risking of staying on the bench or in the stands for a full season. The Serb doesn't want to give up on the €12M that he would earn if he stays in Turin, not even for the #Milan of #Allegri. So far, he has also said no to #Fenerbahçe and to some Saudi sirens: offers not considered adequate.

Yeah that was to be expected…. We shouldn’t play him though - he’s a liability and offers nothing. It’s not the best decision to freeze him out, but he costs us more on the field

Kolo Muani and Jonathan David ofc. That should do, especially if we're keeping Nico like we're being prepared for these last days... We should just call Vlaho's bluff and sign Kolo. It's not like Vlaho can afford to sit on the bench or even in the stands for a year when he needs to sign a new contract next season...

Then focus on defence... One or 2 quality CBs would improve us so much...

What doesn't make sense, this club and management were okay with freezing Weah and Count of the squad but somehow this dipsht still gets minutes?

Just freeze him out, tell him and his agent to find another club and if not he can play with the next gen

Probably cause they know there is very strong chance he won't leave and we will be forced to use him

Why not? I really don't think that'd be much of a problem for him. He wants all of that killer contract. Don't think he gives a fuck about sitting it out.

If only we could make Newcastle accept Vlahovic and if only PSG admire D.Luiz..
Back to real life - I think we should try the Tonali path if it means we can offload Vlahovic.
As for K.M - a hefty loan is the only thing I think PSG will accept - They price him highly and they should.

Tonali is a no go, especially for a swap deal it's not going to happen, why the club is wasting it's time on the idea is beyond me.

Wait a minute, I thought that Cumolli said that JJ has all the cards and everything will be on the club's terms. So the club wants to keep Vlahovic now even if we lose him for free?

Thats Comical Cuntmolli for you.

I guess some are still taken back by his 'impressive' press conference the other week. Never wanted this clown when we were linked with him, and I certainly don't want him now. Sooner he and his boss are gone the better.
