His hold up play was much better than usual and I think that the ref was harsh on him a few times he was held back on long balls

But his movement is still poor. He rarely makes the run to get in front of his defender at the near post on low crosses.
Still snatching at chances as well, despite the votes of confidence from Tudor.

Having said that his general attitude was much better.

Not a good game. Defenders will always hassle attackers, but he lost his nerves and stopped playing a few times. His insticts are wrong as always when moving inside the box. Such a disappointment of a player

Zero confidence, zero hunger and zero want to be there.

I agree the ref was harsh on him...i counted at least 3 times where he shouldnhave had a free kick and rhe ref ignored it. Still...when earning the big bucks you have to phyiscally look like you care more and are trying harder. Surprised he wsnt subbed.

Because he's only focused on his own movement and head far up his own ass. balls played are either Infront or behind him. He's the one without the ball and should start reading the play more often where they could actually play it to him. not to mention his coordination of getting a clean hit times it's played to him.

He wasn’t at his best today but he sure seemed hungrier and more motivated than we’ve seen him in a very long time, think he genuinely wants to contribute, so can’t fault him in that regard, but his finishing is still far off though, still needs to drastically improve his shooting.

Will some club offer him with high salary he's currently earned ?
Even when he offered salary to be €8m/year to spread his annual salary, it could be the best offer he can get for now. I dont think any club will pay him €8m/year net by his current form.

Our top assistmen, in ALL COMPETITIONS, have 4 assists. For comparison, Inter's CB Bastoni has 5 assists. Back in the days, our least talented bench player (Padoin) had 4 assists-seasons.
This is such a pathetic stat that deserves nothing else but ridicule. Yet, I wonder what is the reason behind it? Is it because we don't have creative players, or does it have to do with the impotent striker? Probably both, but the striker is a huge reason, no doubt about it.
