Out of these 4, I think he has the best stats roughly. The problem is his paycheck and the fact that he will leave for little to no money.

Overall I think Morata was the best value for money followed by Manzukic, Vlahovic and then Higuain.

For fucking 70m I expected more, but can't deny every forwards would struggle under outdated tactics. We genuinely hold CFs back with ultra defensive tactic.

Morata was a big game player. Mandzukic too. Higuain was a big game player on Italian soil (or basically in general too apat from the CL final). Placing Vlahovic over anyone of them should be a grave offence worthy of a temporary ban.

Don't forget Higuain played many games as some kind of servant to Cristiano when analysing the stats.

Higuain should be the baseline for future strikers - first two seasons were impressive for Juve standards for strikers.

I said value for money. If we get 40 mil for Vlahovic then Vlahovic > Higuain. Simple as that.
We got jack shit for Higuain when he left.

Doubt we'll get 40m but Higgy was three times the player Vlaho has been for us anyways.

Also...Vlaho earns 12m. Talk about jack shit in value for money... Higuain's was a little over half of that.

Cant compare the 2. Higuain was in a league of his own. Even overweight the guy moved gracefully around the pitch, had an exquisite finish and ball control. The received fee comparison is a joke. Like saying Matri > Del Piero because we earned 12m on Matri while Alex was let go for free.

Actually in his last season with us Higuain was earning more than Vlahovic is earning now (adjusted to inflation).

Here are the sources:
https://www.capology.com/player/gonzalo-higuain-32121/
https://www.capology.com/player/dusan-vlahovic-36553/

In his 3 years with us Higuain costed the club roughly 58 mil Euro (adjusted to inflation)
In his 4 year stint with us Vlahovic will cost us around 59 mil Euro (adjusted to inflation)

So in reality Higuain actually was paid more on average per season. His transfer fee was also higher and we got jack shit at the end. At least for Vlaho we'll recoup a couple of mil when we sell him.

Stat wise they are pretty much the same per match or per min played. So I stand by what I've said earlier:
In terms of value for money Vlahovic > Higuain

That's an absurd comparison. You can't compare Del Piero with strikers from the modern era because his importance to the club far exceeded his sporting value.

Higuain and Vlahovic only bring sporting value. Therefore you can compare the two from a bang for buck perspective.

You know whats absurd? Comparing a natural talent like Higuain with a lumbering oaf like Dusan. One needed 1-2 touches to unleash a volley while the other one keeps stumbling on a ball. In terms of output at Juve, even when Higuain was far from his physical peak, he managed to bang +30 goals in a season. Dusan is supposed to be entering his prime but his best season is 18 goals here. No one will pay 40m after the season he is having. Take away his penalty goals and its a meager contribution. We paid similarly for both, but Higuain was an elite striker, among top 5 in Europe that was protagonist on our road to a CL final, while Dusan was considered for his potential which he didnt fullfil.

You can not simply adjust those things to inflation and say he was paid more, lol. What complete and utter nonsense.

Again; being part of the supporting cast to Cristiano shanks those stats partly. Higgy was overly criticised. Letting him go to Milan instead of re-igniting him was a grave mistake.

When you're talking sporting value we're comparing CL semi finals goals here to missing sitters against Frosinone.

He was already finished when Ronaldo came to Juve. Also, in his 3 seasons with us he was part of the Scudetto winning squad every time. Vlahovic never had that luxury, let alone being part of a team that made it to the UCL final.

Not adjusting numbers to inflation is saying we paid 5 times more for Bernardeschi than we did for Baggio. Which is true in absolute numbers but irrelevant if you don't adjust it to inflation.
But even if we don't adjust to inflation, it only shaves off 7 or so mil from his overall salary cost. So he still earned more than Vlahovic per season, which defeats your original argument that Higuain was paid a little over half of Vlaho's salary.

True because he's supposed to be the star and he's sucking monkey balls... Put a Higuain in this team and we're competing.

Not saying you can't correct. I'm saying you can't do that this easily... Vlaho costs more in salary while our total in salaries and income is much lower. It hurts way more now...

That's on management and the result of not playing regular CL football, not on Vlaho.
