Seems more or less completely out of the project, reduced to being only a backup… although it might hurt our chances for a lucrative sell it’s not like other teams wouldn’t have lowballed us already due to the expiring contract and underwhelming performances.

Guess he is finally getting what he has been asking for due to being unreasonable about his wages despite barely showing anything on the pitch to back it up.

his book value will be ~19-20m in july. i wouldn't mind selling him for anything over his book value
Agree. Whatever we can get. It was a disaster transfer fee and we should never spend that kind of money on a single player in my opinion. No player is ever worth more than €60m investment.

I heard his book value is only €40m or something. We should be able to get that for him IMO.
Let me help you figure this out, basically if he was not on an expiring contract and astronomical wages we maybe could have hoped to get even a €60M fee at best based on his potential and performances here, which is already a stretch, but that’s not the case now at all, he is currently being benched by a loanee due to his own inconsistency, is also on absurd wages and with only 1year left on his contract which has prompted the club to already seek a replacement, therefore in the current circumstances if we get something upwards of €25M it would already be an achievement when everyone will be looking to lowball us.

maybe this puts some pressure on him to sign a new contract for lower wages, i would not mind him staying for 4-5 mil a season. juve always had a couple of great strikers, 1 is not enough. kolo or osimhen as starters, and vlaho as backup would be great . also, i think it would benefit him mentally that not everything depends on him scoring, so being second violin might do good for the guy

Why would he sign a contract for 4-5m?

I obviously really wanted him to succeed here but if he's not willing to compromise on salary then everything else is moot and he'll be on his merry way end of the season.

Delighted to see Kolo doing so well but I do hope we're not freezing Dusan out. Since we're still paying him he should be getting game time. By all means give Kolo the lion's share but we finally have two CFs and Motta is still insisting on only using one. Asking for trouble.

If Susan continues to play like absolute trash then he shouldn't get any playing time. He shouldn't just get to play because he is on high wages. That does the team more harm than good.

Why is this thread one of the most active after a game he didnt even play in lol. It hasnt worked out under multiple managers. Maybe a change of scenery will be good for him too. Dump and move on.

Playing Kolo every minute isn't going to help things, is the point I was making. Much more sensible to give Dusan some minutes than to bench him all the time to teach him a lesson.

Everybody is so used to complaining that even after a win they need somewhere to vent.
