Dusan Vlahovic 's future at Juventus is uncertain. The first season under Thiago Motta is not producing the results hoped for for the Serbian striker, who has scored 12 goals so far (7 of which in the league), but who is not providing performances up to par, the last one being the lackluster one shown in the Champions League match against Bruges.
The player is the highest paid player in the Juventus squad and in the entire Serie A - 12 million euros net per season - and to bring him to Turin from Fiorentina, Juventus has put on the table over 85 million euros (this is the latest official historical cost available from the Juventus club's balance sheet as of June 30, 2024). Between the performance and the costs to be sustained, a farewell at the end of the season cannot therefore be ruled out, since the time to set up an operation of this type in the winter market is inevitably limited.
Vlahovic weight in the balance sheet – How much does the striker cost Juventus
But how much does Vlahovic cost Juventus in 2024/25? And how much should the club collect to make a capital gain in the summer? Starting from the cost of the player, Vlahovic's amortization quota for this season is equal to 19.55 million euros . A figure to which are added 22.2 million euros of gross salary, for a total weight on the balance sheet equal to 41.75 million euros .
Cost that Juventus should also bear next season, unless the Serbian accepts a renewal with a reduction in salary or, indeed, a transfer. As of June 30, 2024, the player's net book value was equal to 39.1 million euros, a figure that in January 2025 dropped to approximately 29.33 million euros .
By June 2025, Vlahovic's net worth will have dropped further to around €19.55 million . This will be the minimum amount to be collected in order not to record a capital loss (and consequently, the proceeds above this figure will all be a capital gain), a price that is certainly affordable for the striker, but weighs on his particularly high salary. The second half of the season will be able to tell us more about the future.
