He strikes me as being similar to Kean but to a lesser extent, where they get very wrapped up in their own emotions and it has an outsized effect on performance.
I thought Kean played well last year even though he didn’t score. Not that I regret selling him, but I really don’t think it would be that difficult to replace Vlahovic. If he wants to get paid like an elite player maybe he should start playing like one. Enough with the “he’s not getting service” nonsense. Because if he needs others to work that hard for him to score, why pay him that kinda money?

Comparing him to Moise Kean?

Never seen Kean pulling this kind of goals.

Motta has ruined him mentally and he looks frustrated as f, but we can't seriously compare Dusan last year with 20 G+A in the worst Juve in decades to friggin Moise Kean who had 0 goals in the same team.

He might not be worth 12m per season but calling him a flop or a mediocre player is also taking it way too far.

That extra bounce narrowed his angle and increased the probability of it going straight at the keeper. A world class striker would have hit it midair. He also missed a good header opportunity and ruined McKennie’s chance.

I think it’s time we admit he’s a good player but too inconsistent in front of goal to reach top tier level. Back in the 90’s he would be playing for maybe Udinese not Juventus.
Yep! This is the state of football these days. Back then you had an abundance of top notch strikers to choose from...these days you dont and you end up overpaying for them.

Vlahovic's output merits half his salary...which in this case if he was paid 5 or 6m per season, we'd probably be less critical of him.

True we probably already extend him, same like Bremer contract, maybe Guintoli will do it twice extention too in a year

Only a goal shy of the most goals in a calendar year? Absolutely shocking. Would not be a professional footballer in the 1990s.

We should have sold him in the summer and kept the guy who scored zero last season, and who had also scored less than Dusan this season.

If this is what a moody and inconsistent striker can produce in this flat-tire, stuck in second gear, steering wheel back to front, London Red Sightseeing Bus trying to compete in the Monaco GP-ass Juve team imagine what he could do if we fixed the rest of the team and held the manager most accountable for the team's lacklustre shite on the pitch.

OR we could pin all the failures on one of the two or three guys actually doing their job.

As a former Max throater, I gotta say you put us all to shame with your deep throating skills. Simply out of this world.

Looking at how we’ve handled all the other exits it is rather safe to assume that in the summer we will most likely end up selling him for only half of his market value due to the expiring contract.

100%!

But half his value is better than losing him for free later on. We fucked up on dybala...we fucked up on chiesa...let's not make the same mistake. No player at this club should be earning 12m per season. Get our money and work on finding the next up and coming gem.

I'm not even sure it is. If he's definitely leaving I think it's better to keep him for that last year. He'll still be motivated to score to put himself in the shop window and unless we have a replacement lined up we'll still need a goalscorer.

vs Viola he had 0.4 xGoal stat, which is already 6.7 npxG stat (expected goals with out penalties) for the whole campaign. He has scored 3 goals out of it, so he is 3.7 goals below his xGoal stats. That is the worst conversion rate in the league, comparable only to Roberto Piccoli (scored 3 goals out of out of 5.8 npxG, - 2.8 goals) and Nikola Krstovic ( 3 goals out of 4.9 npxG, - 1.9 goals.
At the same time, he has pretty good conversion in the CL, with his npxG as low as 1.8 he has scored 3 goals not counting penalties, which means he is 1.2 on plus and this is one of the better conversion rate for the strikers in the competition.

Why do we see such a big difference in both competitions?
