that's the problem with this system.

pass ball to winger. winger is isolated because fullbacks don't come to support or overlap. winger is forced to pass back to now cm supporting wing instead of of cm running into the box.. cm passes back to fullback. rinse and repeat and maybe once in a while the winger will dribble.

neither the wingers nor cms get a chance to run into box because system doesn't allow them to. fullbacks as cm needs to end.

cambiaso plays every position. all he does is 90 minutes of full support

problem is that passing is slow and predictable. we're good at keeping the ball, passing around the opposition box is fine, we're defending well, but we lack ideas and surprising elements within the box. the moment we have some space, the attacks start working, otherwise it's impotent ball hugging. motta knows this, that's why he launched mckennie who's pretty good around the box, mbamgula, who's completely unknown to everyone, or that's probably why cambiaso runs around in a free role to make something happen

not sure what he tried to achieve with timmy as a false9 - or false footballer in general - though :lol3:

Remember when we used to laugh at Inter under Moratti and how they destroy ultra talented players?

Well we are that club now!

There is no doubt that during his best Fiorentina days Vlahovic was one of the 3 most talented striker prodigies in the world.

Then came Juventus with their coaches.

I use to agree when people say it but with Vlahovic its different. It is purely the player.

Arsenal continue to follow Vlahovic with interest.

AFC are confident that Juventus will drastically reduce the price - as happened with Chiesa - to avoid losing him as a free agent in 2026.

Great post! Something needs to be said!
I wonder why are so many managers jerking off on all these complex concept (playing out from back, fullback as CM )

This only works when you have top players who are tacticians at heart. And to get them, you need the budget of Guardiola.

I’m pretty sure we will create more chance if we just do a 4-4-2 low block, counter attack formation of forcing a shot after every four passes (long or short)

I play on a Sunday league now where old fucks just turn up and play without trainings. But every week, u have captains that decide to play a 3-5-2 formation where defenders join attack, strikers become midfielders, and goalkeepers take corners. And when they lose the game, the captain just says “we need to play more like Man City” when half the players on the team can’t even control a short pass with one touch!

what’s next? Every clubs needs a ball-playing kitman, janitor, and cocksucker?
