Good game but I wouldn’t be sad if we sold him. He’s nowhere near a 12m a year striker. His agent deserves a nobel prize for getting him that contract.

Giuntoli on Dusan: “The relationship with him and his agent is extraordinary. He still has a year left on his contract, and we will meet after the transfer market. There is still time to sort things out and move forward in the best possible way.”

this forum is so weird. this player scores in a match and people are still mad. 14 goals + assists in 20 games and people are mad at him.

you guys deserve the mandzukics and the zazas. forever obsessed with shitty strikers that do anything but score but hating on who score like higuain, ronaldo and now vlahovic

He often seems to struggle more when he has time to think about what he’s going to do in front of goal as opposed to the chances that require an instinctive finish that he doesn’t have to think about.

With his one on ones, much like his penalties these days, he waits for the keeper to make the first move so he can decide on the finish, so if they just stand and delay he hesitates and gets indecisive.

Extend his contract for 8m per season to become 10m in 2026, 12m in 2027, 14m in 2028,16m in 2029. Contract end June 2029
Sell him July 2025 to Barcelona for 100m euro

We can market him as perfect Lewandowski replacement

1v1's and sitters are easily his biggest weakness. the goal he scored was a difficult shot, this miss was a routine task for any b-grade striker. it's most probably a mental issue, he obviously has the technique to execute an easy low shot when facing the keeper only. and that makes him a very weird player

I have a theory in which he is an instinct striker rather than the guy who does things.
As much as he thinks there goes his confidence. He does better when he needs to first touch strike or in places he has his must act now situations.
When he is going 1 vs 1 he overthink and confuses himself. Thats definitely a mental issue and he needs to be instructed to place shots without overthinking it.

For example 1 vs 1 this game he had half a goal open yet he chose to complicate it to get an easier position but the truth is he already was in a great position.

Puts three in the net and misses one and here is everybody complaining about the one.

When we won 4-0 anyway.

A classic.
Because we aren't stupid or deluded into thinking that just because he scores 1 in 20 chances that he is playing well.

He has been terrible all season in every aspect of his game and missed multiple very easy chances in games where we dropped points.

Scoring against the worst Cagliari team I've ever seen in the Coppa Italia will do nothing to change my opinion of him.

Can you explain: How 14 goals and assists in 20 games is doing terrible?

I think we might have different ideas of what terrible means

Ok but that miss was inexcusable for a striker of that price tag I'm sorry.

This isn't his first brainfart in front of goal.
That’s a miserable way of thinking. He’s converting chances or creating assists. 70 percent goal or assist in all matches played. End of day it’s did he contribute or not?

Why tuzzers think only Susan misses chances? All striker miss chances it’s normal

That's because they are pressure situations. His best work is done on instinct when he has no time to really think. You can virtually see him mentally tie himself up in knots when he has too much time and different options to finish. Elite strikers are almost robotic in how they operate. Dusan cares too much, he's too busy thinking about what the haters say.

There doesn't need to be an anti-Vlahovic sentiment to this, the problem is that for 85m you expect a 9/10, elite striker, and he's a 7/10. It's better him than no centre forward. He'll score goals for us as we still have one of the better squads in the league, and again, he's a good player who is sometimes very good. But personally, he's not what I hoped for. The guy might be elite at 27 or whatever but I suspect the inconsistency and lack of clutchness are a mental issue that won't disappear. He'll go on runs and spells like he usually does, people will be in here like "where the haters at?", he'll have droughts and the opposite will happen, but the fact these conversations even exist are telling in themselves.

Btw he missed a good chance first half as well yesterday where he blasted it over, it wasn't a sitter but was a good chance for a top striker.

Man I love this forum. Guy misses a chance when he already scored a goal and match was already won by 2 goals and u get the armchair experts above telling us how dusan feelings in his heart that is effecting him. lol

U guys want the striker to score like harry Kane and halaand but then forget for that to happen there needs to be attacking football and not whatever shit passes for football that motta and allegri playing. I’m not talking about chances created. I’m talking about attacking football.
