He would need to be beyond stellar for us, like no striker before, to leverage that salary. Im atlking about almost ronaldoesque number of goals

From the small sample size in the preseason so far it seems that although it’s a new season we still have the same old Vlahovic with his ups and downs, but confidence can go a long way with him if he somehow manages to enter a purple patch, hopefully this time around he won’t have any recurring fitness issues either.

I think a minimum 25 goal contribution in all comps(basically goals+assists together) would already be a fair and reasonable statistic to expect from your star striker, but ultimately should be striving to do even better.

Atleast a 25+ goals and assist season would be enough to sell him. Should be the first thing to do as soon as we can recoup our money - he’s not good enough and never will be

last season he played 38 matches with an injury and still scored 18 goals +3 assists so almost a goal or assist ever 2 matches.

thats not bad considering he played injured a lot and also played for allegri.

maybe not worth 12m per season, but i expect him to do better under a coach that plays attacking football.

also people saying sell him and get better, good luck. any striker scoring 20+ goals is going to go 70m these days.

Truth is that stats don’t always tell the full story… when it comes to Vlahovic it’s actually in those crucial games and at key moments when it matters most that we actually need him to step up and be more clinical, which thus far has rarely been the case.
